Yeah those maxima's are pretty fast! The Japenese just know how to make a more sophisticated V6 with better gas mileage and more hp.

Without gears/tune you will lose. With... it will be close. The Maxima's are no slouch, and without some sort of performance parts, and the 20"s he will get you (unless he doesn't know how to drive)

Yeah, that's what I assumed. I just wanted to hear what others had to say..... Appreciate everyone's honest feedback! quote:

If those Maximas are anything like a G35 (Which I assume are pretty close considering they are in the same family) Dont even bother trying it LOL they accel like no ones business and keep a pretty good top end speed. Go race a Civic instead LOL

They weigh within 100 lbs of each from the data i looked at, so a tenth slower for the maxima maybe....not much

Somehow I still doubt that Addy but, I have yet to experience 3.73s much less the legendary Race tune LOL so IDK about it. When I get the race tune, Ima take on mamas G35 and see what the result is LMAO!

Believe me brotha, I'm saving up my pennies on a mission to get that Race tune LOL from what I've read on these forums they give it a G35 feel and if thats true then I'll die a happy man (Much much much later on of course LOL) I test drove a GT not too long ago and it has pretty good pep, even with that much I'll be happy

And remember, that our TQ curve maxes out early, @3500rpm which is a huge advantage. That's why those new 335i's are so god damn fast (i'd get one if i was 10 yrs older hah)!! that and they have twin turbo i learned that the hard way lol racing one of my customers

In a race against the new Maximas stock for stock you will lose. With the basics, CAI, tune, exhaust, gears + lsd you will keep up and should walk away at a strip but a roll race to high speeds and it will be close till you top out and it keeps going
