I posted this in the 4.6l section but nobody could seem to give me an answer so I thought I would bring it over to my 5.0 guys.

I am looking into buying a 2001 Saleen 4.6L w/procharger, the problem is the car has an issues with the procharger/vacuum and I wanted to see if this was an easy fix or something that is going to get expensive

2001 Saleen, ok heres is the deal .

The procharger supercharger is creating boost but when you let off the gas at higher RPM's the supercharger is making a rythmic noise that sounds like the belt is slipping.

The bypass valve would not hold suction so they took it off and found the gasket was worn. A new one was installed and it now seems to be working properly but the noise is still there . The tech at Procharger suggested that without the bypass working properly, it could have blown a vacuum line somewhere else.

I don't know alot about superchargers so is this just a vacuum issue or do you think it is more involved then that???
