well i decided to try the E3 spark plugs
and i bought the ones for a 91gt but
i have a gt-40 engine so i was wondering
if i just buy spark plugs for a 96-2001 5.0 explorer because those had gt-40's correct?
i tried the ones for the mustang, my car, and they didn't fit because
there was not enough threading

I'm guessing since the plugs you bought didn't fit it'd probably be a good idea to get the other ones....just a hunch I have.

I have no idea which plugs you'll need. I'm just going by the scientific method of elimination.

Yes you need the plugs for whatever the heads came off of. Not for a mustang. If they are for regular GT40 heads you can use the 93 Cobra but make sure they list them with the right head. I have seen some things for the Cobra be listed saying it has a E7 head.
