Sorry dude, but thats possibly the most retarded thing ive ever seen. What do you mean by "professional". someone whos had YEARS of experience and does this for a living, or someone whos been to California speedway and thinks they can drive. This video made me sick thinking they could easily have killed one of the 4 people standing in close vicinity with no barrier between them and a 3500 lb screaming metal deathtrap. No self respecting "professional" would endager multiple people in a stupid way like that unless they ABSOLUTELY knew what they were doing, and could control the car fully no matter what happens. Since when is Ernie a pro, and why do they need the water to break it loose, a pro would know what they were doing and not need assistance.

Sorry dude, but thats possibly the most retarded thing ive ever seen.
>>>>>very descriptive....retarded was the best you could come up with?
What do you mean by "professional". someone whos had YEARS of experience and does this for a living, or someone whos been to California speedway and thinks they can drive.
>>>>>>>>>>looked pretty good to me, i cant do it, can you vouch that he is not a professional? do you have proof of this?
This video made me sick thinking they could easily have killed one of the 4 people standing in close vicinity with no barrier between them and a 3500 lb screaming metal deathtrap.
>>>yes accidents do happen, but in this case they did not and i dont think anyone was too close to the car, and those that were did so at their own risk, such as myself, so maybe you should ask them why they were close, i know why i was.
No self respecting "professional" would endager multiple people in a stupid way like that unless they ABSOLUTELY knew what they were doing, and could control the car fully no matter what happens.
>>>>once again i reiterate what proof do you have that he did not know what he was doing? looks like he did fine to me and many others there.
Since when is Ernie a pro, and why do they need the water to break it loose, a pro would know what they were doing and not need assistance.
>>>>water is used so that tires are not destroyed in the process, on wet ground you could do that for hours and use 5 to 10 percent of the tires, on dry ground that number jumps to around 25-30 percent in two minutes. but i figured since you knew so much i wouldnt have to explain that.

you know its funny but i could have sworn i didnt see you there.............yet you seem to have so many answers....
let me clarify:
we had permission from the dealer, the cops were rather cool, and even though it was private property they still have the authority to stop said acts without permits and the like, which they did, and frankly, since i was there aand you werent, when the cop was saying why he was doing it, it really boiled down to its affect on traffic stopping, and the congestion it was causing on a nearby road, they then excercised their authority in a polite professional manner....
any other questions?

and frankly i find most if not all of your posts very negative.....
i was looking more for comments on the video production, editing and score,
but you seem to like to take things (in general) to another level on here.....im still trying to figure out why when i read your posts they induce conflict.
also let me make it clear im not trying to get into a flaming war with you, everyone is entitled to their opinion and i respect that, but when i read your posts you come accross as searching for the negative, while i tend to do the opposite, so i hope i have clarified some things for you about the event, and answered your questions,
the only problem i have with your post is the use of the word retarded i find it offensive.....as defined by dictionary.com: slow or limited in intellectual or emotional development.
i sir am none of these things, i work very hard for a living as a software engineer, i think that puts me mentally very far from slow, i too am far from limited in intellectual or emotional development. as is ernie or anyone who was present at said event.
i think my credentials, experience, skills, and overall intellect put me and those i associate with far from retarded.
that said, keep on truckin'
i dont mind a good discussion once in a while.

and it what it is, and if i dont mind my saying so, its one badass video about mustangs, i worked hard on it, and in fact it was fun a fun event to be at, the exhibition turned out great in person and on video....
everyone has an opinion i am aware of that, but i didnt post the link to discuss the semantics of how it got filmed,
i put the link there because it did get filmed, and to make something that was entertaining for people to watch, not brood over how it was made or why,
you know i dont do much paid comedy anymore, but im still a professional comic...so this arguement is neither here nor there with me, i been in the entertainment game too long as a starving artist to get into pissing contests over things that at this point are inconsequential in the scheme of anything.
its a video, and everyone is critic, and everyone critiques in their own way.....this is really how i see the post, and i hope my responses to the critique come accross as fair....
and fuzzy dice its not personal i know that and i hope you do too...as i said... keep on truckin'
in fact post some vids of that fox in your sig...id like to see it action, be it the track, your exhuast, etc.....
did u film and edit? I ask cuz u mention that you were the one close the car filming, so does that mean youre the one in the middle as the car goes around that we can see in the vid? or are you the one behind the lens of the vid we are watching?
and btw my comment I was going to make was solely about drifting and not about anyone involved perse nor wanted anyone to make that leap in assuming I was.
Let me get something clear, i posted rather hastily, i was not calling you retarded, rather, the event taking place and the dangers it was causing. True, probably not the best word choice, but it gets the point across nonetheless, the fact that that probably was not the smartest place to do that, and most definately not the safest.
Professional is someone who is paid to do something for a living. I dont think Ernie, or any of those other drivers, for that matter, gets paid to drift? Ive never seen them entered in any professional sanctioned events
Just because no accident happened doesnt mean it wouldnt, and a pro would know that anything can happen and happen fast, and thus they would take every safety precaution necessary just in case, things such as safety barriers at the very least.
The proof of not knowing what he's doing? does it look like he knows what he's doing? I challenge him to keep the car sliding in a perfect circle around a skid pad like a pro would, sliding ur car sideways takes no skill, maintaining complete control of it and pushing it to its edge and not going over does
That was on privately owned property but was still public property since it is open to the public and that is why the cop had authority to stop it, even if the dealership gave permission, its unsafe, and again a pro in a controlled environment wouldve had the proper permits and permission from the cops and wouldve most likely involved them as well as other safety crews. fact is that they were creating an unlawful hazard whether it be on the lot or creating traffic on the streets of passersby and that is why the cop put an end to it
When u post on a public forum you are subject to all sorts of comments and opinions and IMO glorifying a dangerous, illegal activity is RETARDED! P.S Drifting is stupid.
but opinions of the activities aside, the editing is good and well done, transitions are smooth, etc, aside from whats actually going on, its a good movie

yeah sorry, its kind of abraisive, its midnight, my thinking skills arent at the highest right now, just trying to state some facts
and i shouldnt be judging you on whats going on in the video/other people are doing, like i said, good video, well made
as for videos of the fox, not really, none of it in action, i think richard may have a couple of pics of me driving it, nothing special, but i do have a before/after clip from an o/r H pipe install

much better said....as a filmaker....i say this.... thanks i know it artistically works....as a member of stangpede....i see your concerns, but reiterate nothing bad happened so why focus on it?
and yes im behind the video camera, and the guy in the middle is professional photgrapher....as i said earlier, those who were close such as me and my girlfriend (her video file got corrupted and they were excellent shots) others filming and photographing did so at their own risk, and were grown ups like myself, who knew what the risks were from said vantage points (camera angles). as for the guy in the middle hes a professinal photographer, and frankly im pissed i wasnt there with him, his shots are excellent, but i had better sound for the engine and tires where i was, the wall behind me trapped sound in nicely....
and thanks fuzzy...for what its worth i love the red stang in your sig, and i know you know some shiznit about cars, way more than i do when it comes to engines....so i do respect your opinion...your just so harsh sometimes man
i think everyone there had a good time, i met some really great people, and got footage to make a cool mustang vid....
and yes i agree with you when i put a video out there thats like that there may be some criticism along your lines, i hope when it comes around again,(and im sure it will) whoever it is has the manners that you do....
lol, no, thats not braking dive, i have the coilovers set to a rake, but i need to lift up the fronts a bit
love the video ....the end is funny..... had me laughing.... i would like to say as a mustang nerd...that there is something about the sound of those late 80's early 90's stangs that i so like......and the h pipe makes a huge difference....
pics are great....your car would look good on video......perhaps we will cross paths at some cruise event....
your 5.0 is teh hotness....(yeah i know i spelled the wrong)
I dont think fuzzy meant to personally attack any one individual so much as he meant to comment on how he thought it unwise to engage in such wreckless behavior (and then to glamorize it by filming and posting???) and to also express his viewpoint on drifting itself (which I believe he and I see eye to eye on)???? correct me if Im wrong fuzzy
