View Full Version : Borla, SLP, or Flowmasta WillsgotaGT 05-11-2008, 11:18 PM alright i recently got stainless steel magnaflow 3" pipes put on my 07 GT. wasnt to happy with it and looking for a lil more sound... trying to decide between Borla Xpipe, SLP loudmouth, or FLowmasta super 44. any suggestions. youtube'd them and they all sounded great. any in-depth details i should know about to help make a decision msimboli 05-11-2008, 11:25 PM just from hearing the local stangs in my town i kinda like borla the best, except the price. but then again everything is pricy know a days WillsgotaGT 05-12-2008, 12:10 AM well i looked the Borla x-pipe up cat-back and its like 200 something. so not to bad brad281 05-12-2008, 10:27 PM Don't waste $ on a catback. Either axlebacks for the sound or an offroad h or x matched to them. Flowmasters and s197s don't mix well, unlike the foxes and edge. Ford racing stinger axlebacks would be your best bet,imo. I remember reading an article on the 3" exhaust hurting performance on a na gt. Do you have a fi setup? No brainer. warrrdoggg 05-13-2008, 06:13 PM I have the FRPP"Borla Stingers"axlebacks on my 08 GT/CS. I thought they would be louder than what they are. They are loud but I am looking for obnoxious. I am getting LT and Hpipe with high flow cats. Hopefully that will be obnoxious. If not I'll switch to deleates and get SLP loudmouth axlebacks.
