Hey guys whats up? So i HAD a vibration problem that involved the whole car vibrating at 45mph+, a vibration pulse at idle, and vibrating at high rpms. So i asked around and people were saying it was the harmonic balancer, installed it in my garage by hammering it in and tightening it in as much as possible. Now there is still a vibration but worse, idle is the same pulse idle, at a 3500rpm rev its the shifter vibrating badly, and i noticed a leak from behind the harmonic balancer. I dont want to drive it due to hearing that loose harmonic balancers can destroy the whole car. Please let me know what it could be. Thanks

You may want to look at making sure that Harmonic balancer was installed properly... there is always the possibility the harmonic balancer you bought was bad.  Be very careful with any harmonic vibrations as they could severly damage the bearings and crank!!!

There is also a slight possibility you could be having a flywheel problem as this can also cause a vibration.

first off you just made your vibration 10x's worse by hammering the ballancer on. that doesnt just hurt the ballencer, you know what it bolts to? YOUR CRANK, never ever pound on the crank like that its not ment to take that kind of beating. so you may have just destroyed your engine all on your own
