Default Entire powertrain for how much?

Ok, so i posted a thread on here a few days ago asking you guys your opinions on my transmission (fmx or C6) and some of you said a AOD would probably be better to use. Well, just yesterday i was offered an entire powertrain out of an 87 Lincoln for $400. It would include, 1 EFI 302 HO with harness and everything, 1 AOD, and 1 8.8" rear end with diskbrakes. It is all still in running condition and the reason he's getting rid of it is because the car was wrecked up front and the radiator is no more, so thats why he doesn't use it, but it does run. I just want a cruiser really but one with some get-up-and-go to it also.I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go for it for the price. So, what do you guys think?

Engine tranny and rear end thats cheap.Id use the engine and tranny rear end takes some work to make fit wonder if the disc will work on a 8 inch or 9 inch. For everything to put the aod in http://www.transmissioncenter.org/cl...conversion.htm good luck.

If the car had the radiator destroyed it would be a good idea to be weary of signs of overheating, warpage, etc. Otherwise it sounds like a great deal.Good luck.
