I got sick of not having any trunk space... so I got a new enclosure for my 2 10" kickers
The shop who "mounted" it did a lazy job. Its not bolted down or anything and I actually had to go back and fix some of their wiring today. Oh well, at least I have a trunk now.
I love that box man..any way you can take the dimensions of it for me...I have 2 kicker cvr 10s I'm trying to put in my mustang too..I just bought the 3/4 mdf board today. I think I'm gonna build an amp rack..then the dual sub box..then a cover board..so will take up just a lil bit more room than your sub box.

I'll see what I can do for ya. I didn't build it myself obviously and as such I'd really only be getting the exterior dimensions for ya, long as u dont mind I'll try to get it done sometime soon for ya, send me a PM to remind me if you dont mind. And here's another pic just so u know how it looks inside, its not completely flush, but I'm happy with it considering my last box...
Edit: ugh, I wish i had taken the pictures after I popped out that little dent in the carpet and vacuumed
It still amazes me that in one thread you are asking for someone to give you dimensions to build a box yet, in another thread you just posted that you are an installer at a car stereo/alarm shop. I wouldn't trust you to serve me some fries and a coke let along work on my car if you don't know how to use a tape measure.
Yeah I hear ya. The owner of the shop who made it asked me how everything was and we talked about it and he was surprised the guy didn't mount it like he said, so I'll be making another short trip out there this weekend (hopefully with some sort of grills on them to prevent damage).
My guess would be because they wanted to originally mount the amp in the front between the subs but then realized a bit into it that it wasnt wide enough? Or some other weird reason that I can't think of, either way I'm not terribly bothered.
I thought #1 might be never attach explosives to the wiring... I've seen a lot of boxes with the amp mounted, mind explaining whats wrong with it for future notice?
sorry still rule #1. problem is amp's are not intended to take the abuse and the vibrations that it will encounter when bolted to a box its comon sence. If u have a half ass system that lacks any tru spl then u might never have a problem. But hey its ur amps not mine. But i can think of a thousand other things i could do with the 1000$ i might have to spend to replace my amp.
Pls dont come back with my friends friend has a solo x with 4 7kd's bolted to the box and he's never replaced his amps cause ull be full of chit. What i say is tru belive it or not.

too many little pieces moving around that are not supposed to be moving around. Also leaves opportunity for leakage, less security for equipment, and i don't think it is possible to make it look nice any way you do it if it is on the box. (wow, 6 two letter words in a row.....)
I don't know whats up your ass disturbed, but thanks for adding to my "comon sence", though I think you severely damaged my reading comprehension and vocabulary. I'll be sure to take my half-ass system without "tru spl" and see if i can do something else with the amp. Maybe leave out the insults the next time someone asks for information, or simply provide the information without randomly blurting things out and not explaining.
and "plz dun come bak with its onnly teh interwebz spellng dunt make ne cents"
problem is amp's are not intended to take the abuse and the vibrations that it will encounter when bolted to a box<<< damn i could have swore that was a correct answer to your question. But since u say u have done multiple systems then you already knew this right?? IF U DONT LIKE WHAT I SAY THEN DONT READ!! <<this is for all the lil girls in this forum.

I wouldnt mind so much if your posts made sense or had any relevant information.
I never claimed/said that I have done multiple systems, ever. Please learn to read. And for the record, this is the second system I've "wired" and the first box I had installed by someone else (who also mounted the amp for me). So I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to this stuff.
As for luckydawg, did you still want those dimensions?
problem is amp's are not intended to take the abuse and the vibrations that it will encounter when bolted to a box<<< relevant ENOUGH?? i can break it down more if needed.

Ya man I still want the dimensions? The outside dimensions will be fine, Thanks. As far as mounting the amps to the back of the box it will be fine. The car vibrates anyways...and the subs hitting will vibrate the amps no matter where they are located so I doubt its gonna damage them anymore than placing them on the back of a box.
