whats up guys...heres my question- i have a 99 GT, and its black- so its a pain to keep clean and of course as you all know you can see just about every imperfection there is...however, its wierd because the whole passenger side of the car is mint...theres no chips, scratches or anything like that and it looks like it was freshly painted even though it wasnt- but the driver side is a different story ..theres very faint surface scratches and small little imperfections..and you can clearly see a difference between the driver and passenger side paint- should i use a claybar and some paint cleaner/polisher to make the driver side paint better? its been drivin me crazy for a while and i dont wanna make it worse than it is...any input would be great

im no expert but id use a clay bar over the entire car and then use a non abrasive cleaner polish on it.   if you need to use some light abrasive polish on the rough spots only then go back over the car with a sealant & / or carnabua wax.

ive been using pinnicale & wolfgang for a bit and its amazing stuff.

If you have very light scratches, then go with polishing. Get a good polisher like a PC or a Flex, and go over it all (do the whole car too otherwise the drivers side will end up being the only one that looks good rather than the passenger side). And yeah, claying is always a good start. I would never polish without claying. You can't tell how bad it is until you get all the dirt out, and plus I feel like you're pushing around too many contaminants without claying first.
