Well, I'm trying to do a simple mod .. some lights underneath the dash. Two of them to be exact. One blue, and one red. Now here comes the tricky part. . The swicthes..
I already know where I'm going to put them. The two empty spots in between the a/c switch and the rear defrost switch. I'm going to use two recirculation switches.. But where to get them from ??
Ebay didn't come up with nothing.
Searches on these forums came up with nothing..
I don't want to go to the dealership and end up buying two whole control pannels for two swtiches.
So anyone able to point me in the right direction so I can do this mod that I'm craving for ?? Thx

LOL nooo I'm not doing anything like that. I'm installing them underneath the dash both driver side and passanger side. And MAYBE under the seats. I'm not going crazy with it. I'm just making my " own " version of the ambient light.. heh I just want the switches for the clean look though. I mean, if no one knows then I'll just go to the dealership and pay an arm and a leg for two contol panels.

Couldn't you just have the button be somewhere else? Seems like a lot of money to pay to essentially get an extra button.

well, I want that OEM look. I hate having hidden switches or something that just looks out of place.

you could always just go get a nice looking switch from autozone and put it in the center console....

Try a junk yard? Im sure you can rip one outta a totaled stang

Yah I'll need two of them.. not sure if there that many stangs totalled out there. I'll look into it. Hopefully they don't charge 20 % less than the dealership lol

I believe the recirculate switch is momentary and not on/off
like you need. You will need more logic to get it to be a
maintained on/maintained off switch.

Just so you know before you go a huntin or a buyin.
