Default Installing 351C and C6 in a '67 Convertible... any advice?

[align=left]
I have a '67 convertible with a 200 inline 6 cylinder. I have been given a great deal on a NICE 351C and C6 tranny. Has anyone done this swap and can yougive me any advice... anything I should know? Is there any structural add-ons I should know about?
Thanks for any help.

351Cs can fit the 65-66 cars. The C6 is a poor choice. It weighs more, is big, and we all know a C4 fits fine in that car.
I would not do it. Even if someone gave me the engine. A Windsor is a better fit.

I would keep that 200 if it is original.

Yeah, I thought I had heard that somewhere. that is the kind of info I was hoping for before I sunk the money into it. You said the 351C can fit in the 65-66 cars... mine is a 67. Will it even work?

I thought about keeping it... but I haven't been able to figure out the EXACT way to figure out if it is a numbers matching car. The other owner couldn't confirm it, so I have assumed it isn't.

If you tell me the first few letters of the VIN I could almost figure it out. Then you could also check the casting number on the block. (Correct me someone if I am wrong) The block # is above the starter.

Also it could work. But if you did you would have to get new brakes, suspension, 5 lug parts, and some more things I can't think of right now.

Numbers on the block:
AL
C8DE
6015B
7F21

The first part of the VIN is 7T03T, so I know itwas originally a 6 cyl car.

thanks

I put a Cleveland in a 68 in 1985. It fit fine and ran like a raped ape. I did it in one night.

I don't think it is the original engine. When I did a search it came up as a 1968 200.

OK, thanks. Will the cleveland bolt up to a C4? That's what is in it now.
