hi   im looking at getting a slp loudmouth 1 cat back w/ o/r mid.     my question is on american muscle it says it needs a straight through muffler. i have flow masters now will that work?   and my question with the mid pype is that also on amrican muscle it says in order to have long tube header u need a shorty mid pype.  i want an o/r x but the only shorty mid is with o/r h.     should i get short headers in order to have the x pype or just get the h pype for long tubes

SLP LM1 is what I have with a SLP catted X pipe.  SLP is VERY loud and the cat back already is a straight through muffler. If your gonna be catless with SLP LM1 then your car is gonna scream and it may be too raspy for your liking. With SLP you should get a X or H WITH cats to tone it down a bit. I know they are more expensive with cats but thats just my opinion. Great choice going with SLP though!

Do NOT get slp lm1 with a o/r pipe. Its super loud and sounds like crap. No good tone to it at all.

My whole beef with the LM1's is that not only are they friggin loud as all hell, but they sound raspy, especially at WOT and half the time, maybe it's just me being a tard, but I couldn't tell if there was an exhaust leak or not. I've got the SLP ceramic LT's high-flo cat'd H, and the LM2's and at idle it sounds like sex. Not too loud, no raspy sound to it, just that deepish musclecar sound, and at WOT the thing screams, but it doesn't sound like something's banging against the inside of the muffler like the LM1's do. That's just me though. If you're going for LT's though, I'd look at MAC, Kooks, and StainlessWerks too as they're all pretty top notch as far as my experience goes.. Just my .02

Meehhh, I'd have to disagree with that one.. the LM2's do sound like a muscle car, the LM1's don't, I'll give you that. But as you said it's all in personal taste.

And Bassani is good but Borla + stingers are better.. again, just me.. lol I had a friend of mine that had Bassani's on a 99 Cobra he had, and the things sounded like a really long wet fart out of a fat guy most of the time..
