T5 fluid to quiet it down a little...
 

I bought a used rebuilt T5 that was behind a 347 that ran high 11s, but i know the guy and he did not absuse it. It shifts great, the only complaint is it whine in 1st-3rd and then quiets in 4th, then makes a little in 5th. I talked to an old teacher and he said synthetic and possibly even a little gear dope would quiet it down. Suggestions on a fluid? I need to do this asap.

Hmm yea i was worried about that. Might just need new bearings[:@]

probably has a bad bearing.....mine is noisey in 3rd and after addding royal purple it got louder!! RP FTL!!...BUT MINE probably has a bad set of case bearings under the gear for 3rd;)
