GEARS WORTH IT??
I have a 2006 V6 with a C&L CAI Flowmaster AT and 91 race tune from doug I was wondering if getting 3.73 gears is worth it when it comes to acceleration and flat out drag speed and also if its worth it compared to how much mpg i would be losing thanks

One of the best mods you can do! Make sure you do an LSD at the same time.

RE: GEARS WORTH IT??
if you already have a CAI and a tune would you need to get a new tune if you go with gears and a t-lok?

I'm pretty sure you can just change the gear ratio in your current tune and reload it

RE: GEARS WORTH IT??
Well what if I could only choose one at the moment ( either T-lok or gears) which one should I get first in your opinion
and what is the average cost to install a t-lok?

RE: GEARS WORTH IT??
Absolutely worth it. I'd get it before any other moderately expensive upgrades (like dual exhausts, headers, etc). Just make sure you get a LSD at the same time, not only cuz you'll save money on the labor costs but the LSD provides highly neccessary additional traction that the gears will most definitely require.
With a high performance tune and gears, the V6 (imo) feels almost as fast as a stock GT. Like I usually say, CAI/tune wakes up the car, gears/LSD unleashes it!
