hi all, so the original setup is a drum/drum single master car with 7.5" rearend and a 3spd manaul trans. what it's going to be is disc/disc, dual master with T5 and 9" rearend (naturally new tyres and wheels)
At home I don't have no garage and limited tools (no pit, no pneumatics). basically jackstands and a screwdriver ;-) I was now thinking of doing whatever i can here (discbrakeswap), assemble the rearend and then drive over to swap T5 and rearend
or bring the car over to my friend and do everything together with him
what ya think?

never mind :-) Weather was nice so I pulled the rear axle parts out and put them together in front of the hose. twas great as it all worked fine so far. here's a picture of the finished axle. I'm loving this already
I'm german and moved to Ireland 5 years ago. So that's home now and I only brought one toolbox as personal stuff was more important. I buy tools as I get along. So I decided to put all parts together at home and when I have everything assembled, drive over to a friend (10 miles down the road who drives a beautiful chevelle). He's got a pit, a compressor and basically everything you'd need to repair a car. I think that sounds like an ok plan :-]
