Hey guys this is my 1st time posting on here and a little new at it. I got an 05' GT black on black 5spd just installed my Hurst short throw love it and Cirvini's C-side exhaust but side exhaust Fin scrappes off everything and I also have the car lowered, yea I know show of been exspected. Did anyone lower there stang with the Cirvini's side exhaust and do 20's and not scrap and mind you I live in Pittsburgh PA land of pot holes and uneven roads. Let me know, and if I should put the stock springs back on??

Yeah I have lowered the car twice once with frpp then again with steeda they take it down about 1 inch vs the frpp that took it 2 inches. I welded skid plates on my exhaust so they will last longer. I think you could get by with using a taller tire and not scraping. The 20 's I dont think matter as much because it is just the fills the hole in the tire. The height of the tire stays somewhat the same when they swap from 17.18 to 20. Check with the Tire guys listed in tire and rim questions.
Another thing that has helped is a stronger strut ans shock combo. keeps from bouncing the exhaust down.
If its a daily driver and you cant avoid the potholes and steep drivways   well ya gotta do what ya gotta do.  The damn exhaust just wont go up any higher!
good luck in your attempts.

Getting a taller tire will help but  really no matter what you do it will still scrap from time to time.    ybnormal post up some pics of your skid plates.

I left my pictures on my home computer but What i did was take a piece of 1/8 thick ss plate bent a 90 in it and welded it to the metal clamp that holds the tips to the pipes. It will be monday before I can show you pics. Sorry....I figured it will save my pipe and hangers a little and give it more of a flat surface to hit.  that way you can weld it on a bench then slide it back on pipe and reattach the dual tip. The nut of the band is on top or angled slightly down.

OK here are a couple pics  with flash on? thats why it looks so rocky

I have not scraped the Exhaust yet but am still on stock ride height and extremely cautious and plan out trips to new areas! Would not change a thing and love the exhaust!  J

Edited my post and added the pics of the ss plate I used. If anyone is interested.
It dosnt keep it from hitting but seems to help on limiting damage.
Good luck to all
