you need to suck sand through your intake while the car is running to clean everything. Its kinda like sandblasting...

just change the oil...flush it if you want but thats probably not necessary.

while your at it make sure to grease your muffler bearings and top off your blinker fluid

They do sell that big can of engine sludge cleaner.  You put it in the oil before you change it.  Let the engine run a few minutes.  It's really really thin and breaks down the sludge.  Just make sure you dont run the engine more than a few minutes.

PROTIP:

gotta watch it if your wanting to flush it..... you put in a motor flush and chunks of crap break lookse they can end up clogging your oil pump pickup screen or an oil galley somewhere and just land you with a failed motor. not to mention even after countless flushes the inside of that motor will still look like absolute crap.

flushes only work when there is no real "buildup" to speak of, they are the equiv. of just rinsing off a plate with 8 day old taco meat stuck to it when what it really needs is a scrub to get the crap off of there.

HONESTLY, the best thing to do if its running ok now is to do regular oil changes to prevent further buildup and just leave it alone.
