27 Passes by the Fiancee, only 13 passes by me (and most were in my buddies GTO),

Fiancee went 13.17 @ 105mph on a 1.99 60ft in my Z...

LS2 Auto GTO went 13.2 @ 104mph on a 1.8x 60ft (will have more details tomorow but it has a predator hand held tune for it's only mod)...

I have 30 something videos and too many slips to go over right now... I will let you know more tomorrow. :)

Had a nasty 8+mph headwind :( I finally got a 2.0x 60ft today but my best was only 13.2 @106mph... ah well...modding starts next weekend.

Cheers!

Nice, looks like she can drive.Do you know anything about my buddy Bills WS6, I heard he lost a head gasket and messed up the front of the car.

Yeah... popped the gasket in 3rd, lost it a bit but managed to get control at the last moment...tapped the wall at very slow speed...nothing major from what I understand as far as damage..

Here is a vid of my friends A4 GTO vs Laura (my fiancee)driving my Z28.

They were within a few tenths of each other all day long. Funny thing is with his tune (put down 361rwhp on a local dyno here) we though he was going to take us at higher speeds... didn't happen. I ran him myself and he would get me out of the hole (he was pulling 1.9 and 2.0 60fts with no effort) and I would slowly gain back through each gear, thengain by abig margin on each shift until I would be out in front by the end. Happenedevery time(both cars ran head to head about 12 times).

I didn't see it up close but a number of people said it wasn't bad. I think the lack of bumper supports saved it. :)

I am still working on getting pictures and stuff... didn't have the computer much this weekend...only managed to get videos uploaded. I also found out that I was running on 89 octane saturday :(.... Monmoth gas station screwed me over, the Fiancee didn't want to pay 4+ a gallong for premium and stuck in 89 octane instead. Explains the loss of trap speed even though we had -1xx DA saturday.

The Fiancee said she wanted to take the car down the track (since she has never ran on a track before in her life). Only 19 cars ended up coming due to the threat of rain so she felt comfortable making some passes.
Well....she made 27 passes :icon11: my clutch (Factory Clutch with 84K on it) has finally given up on me but she did rather well..

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd1/lfoster87/Cordova/May1005.jpg
I hopped in it after her 15th pass, lined up...rolled the rpms up to 2200 rpm and let out .... RPMs shot up and I didn't move... (3.3 60ft for the win!!!)..haha... I was only able to get a 13.2 out of it on a 2.0x 60ft and my MPH was 104 ~ 105 with noticable slippage just before my shifts launching from near idle. I made only a handfull of passes before handing the keys back over and letting her enjoy what was left of the clutch. [8D]

She got a few 106mph traps right when she first started but by the end of the day they were 104~105 (too much abuse? the hotlapping? the 89 octane?? who knows) but she did manage a nice 1.99 60ft which further proves I have no driving talent..haha.
Any ways just thought I would share, I am putting a new clutch in shortly (LS6 clutch came with it from the factory and that's what is going back in), and doing some suspension mods next weekend (1LE springs) so I am losing stock status. It was definately a blast trying to get the best out it that I could, but I guess it's time to toss on a lid and the springs and see what happens. :)

God I love my town. Nothing like paying $4.09/gallon. Cost me $56 to fill up Saturday night.[&:]You could've atleast spelled it right though. There's a U in there.lol. Also, instead of going with an LS6 clutch, go with the LS7 clutch and flywheel. It's only $425, on Scoggin Dickey. http://www.sdparts.com/product/SDLS7CK/LS7ClutchKitPressurePlateDiscFlywheel.aspx

No, I didn't. I just finally joined MFBA this past weekend. I didn't really know about the track rental anyways. I've got to give the new clutch a little break-in time before I start running the hell out of her again too. lol

A stock replacement. [:'(]To buy it, get it installed, and also have the flywheel resurfaced, and a few other things done, it did only cost around $650 though. But, it's only a matter of time before it goes, since I have 3.73's and a few bolt-ons.

ahhh get those labor charges outta there. that's why you gotta learn to do it yourself somehow. I learned ALOT about my car when I swapped out my motor for a cobra motor, I had a guy from a local performance shop come down and help us out, only charged me $300 for the whole swap(it took a lot of time with running and getting parts to troubleshooting things) so I got a heck of a deal. I did hear those f-bodies are hard to work on though with the engine set back to far.

My car is easier to work on than a 2V Mustang, I pulled many motors out of both types of cars.

Yeah. I probably could've actually done it myself. One of my bosses said that he's swapped out clutches on his little Toyota trucks a couple times and could've helped me. All I would've had to do was pull the car over the pit in his dad's shop. But, I didn't really have the time and I was afraid to mess something up. I mayhave paid out the ass for a stocker. But, it's a way better price than what the Chevy dealer quoted me at. They tried to tell me it'd be close to $1400 for a stocker. lol. Damn stealerships. Next time I'll just spend my money on a Spec Stage 2 or something, and just do it myself, with a little help. Hopefully, since I'm really not too far from stock, and 3.73's aren't that big of a change from 3.42's, I can make the stocker work for quite a while though.

They're a b*tch to change spark plugs. That's for sure. I tried that earlier and wound up getting pissed off, because I kept burning myself on the headers. So, I gave up and decided I'd do it tomorrow night instead. lol

The car had been off for like an hour and it was only ran for about 10 minutes before the hour cool-down. They weren't outrageously hot. But, it was just annoying when I was trying to do it and just added more frustration to it.

Changing Spark plugs on either LTx, LSx setups is much easier than changing a clutch on an SN95 car thats for damn sure. I've never seen so many cuts and nicks in my hand as when I helped my buddy change the clutch in his 1996 GT... (what I mean by helped was he started to do stuff...then I ended up just doing it all myself)

lol. I knew you were kidding. I didn't mean for it to sound like I was getting bent outta shape about it. I was too lazy to change them again tonight. I've got other things to do with the gf anyways. Plus, my buddy found half my spark plugs (still in the box)out in the driveway last night after I left. I guess I left the box sitting somewhere on my car and wasn't paying attention and drove off. The box was a little beat up and sorta crushed, but the spark plugs looked perfectlyfine still,on inspection. lol.
