you down to just these two? there are a lot of whipples and saleen on these forums.... good luck with your quest.

I do not have either so I just prefer the look of the kenne bell over the paxton. but what your end goals/ how much boost you gonna run will help you decide. Do you have support (a shop) that is good with both?
are you going with final price?
are you going for show and go?
Will you eer want to boost up high?

Kenne Bell Dude. Twin screws (kenne bell, whipple, and saleen) all get boost at the tap of the throttle. I centrifical (procharger, vortech, paxton) actually has to spool up kind of like a turbo.

My 2 cents; Kenne Bell and Whipple HO superchargers are the best you can buy.

Answer some of these questions....we know nothing from what you have posted so for

1. What are you planning to do with the car? i.e. - autocross, trailer drag car, daily driver, weekend warrior and occasional track, street/strip limited, street/strip weekly, etc

2. How much max power do you want to make eventually?

3. How much max power do you want to be able to run on the street?

4. Is torque important to you or just rwhp numbers?

5. Where do you live and what is the climate?

6. How many miles do you average on your car? (example - 12K per year)

7. Is your car lowered?... How much?

8. What is the max octane you have in your area? (example - 89, 91, 93, etc.)

9. Do you plan on rebuilding a forged motor?

10. Is 'whine' important to you?

11. Do you want to be able to have multiple boost levels and tunes? (i.e. race and street) Specific to boost - do you want to run different boost levels on the car?

12. Are you installing yourself? If not... who is?

13. Do you have access to a custom tuner and dyno?

The June 2008 issue of MM&FF's, has a great write-up comparing all the popular Superchargers.

20k / year is kinda a lot.
out of those 2 choices, i would go w/ the TS
but there's nothing wrong w/ the procharger either, plus they sound pretty cool too.
whipple and saleen are also good choices. or paxton/vortech, turbo too. but w/ that hi milage i would keep anyFI at a low single digit boost level.

Look up all the S/C's on the net (check the manufacturing web sites for each model) and narrow your wants down again and give us an explanation as to what you would like to achieve with your car now and in the future....(what howarmat posted above) ^^^

KENNE BELL!!!!
Check This Out. A 450RWHP twinscrew supercharger with instant boost compared to a 460RWHP Centri; the twinscrew will feel much better and will win the drag every time! You will have peak boost right away where as the centri will have to spool up. Centris don't make peak horsepower until about 6500 rpms.

Let me ask you this. Where do you do most of you driving? Between 2,000-6,000 rpm's or at 6,500 + rpm's?

Do you have a twin screw? Where do you get off making all these claims? Centris to peak later in the rpms but I have never witnessed twin screws beat every single centri.... Twin screws will pull at lower rpms but the centri will reel them in. In not saying either it better but just lay off with the claims. Unless you have acutal proof...

I Have a Kenne Bell in the box waiting to be installed. Pound for pound; a twinscrew is both better and funer to drive. Obviously a centri running a lot of boost would beat a low boosted twin screw. There is also a lot of other factos i.e. supporting mods.

I am in no way trying to argue. I'm just saying, A supercharger that makes instant power will be better and funner than a supercharger that doesn't...

Pound for pound and centri makes more HP with an equal tune. Also what you think is funer to drive someone else (me) may not agree. I have driven both twin scew and centri so I can make my decision. I love twin screws as well, Im not an any way trying to discredit them. There are great and very fun. However from my personal experience I prefer Centris and that is why I purchased mine. Once again I have yet to see all centris lose to twin screws with equal boost. (Not trying to argue or start anything either just stating what I have witnessed in my life) Have fun with that Kenne Bell and hurry and itstall that bad boy.

I like twin screws cause they are clean looking, like the factory meant for it to be there. I'm not sure but from how it looks all the centri'srequire removal of the supercharger and brackets just to replace the serpentine belt. Correct me if i'm wrong, but thats one of the reasons i chose a whipple.

You're wrong. It's just as simple as removing tension from the belt and routing the new one in.

I would go with the KB but is a PITA to install compared to the procharger. I like the cold air intake on the KB which pulls air from the fender. Because ofthe cooler airyou can get away without an intercooler and save a few bucks. The 2.6KB without the intercooler puts you at roughly 400 RWHP which ideal for a stock motor. Since my install I drive around all day in west Texas weather with the A/C blasting and have never had a problem.
