i haven't done it, but i've thought about it...dunno if i wanna go back to leather...but, should be fairly simple...upholstery is held on with hog rings, so you'd need to get some hog rings, as well as hog ring pliers...then see how the stock stuff comes off..take pics if you have to...leather will go on the same way...i'm not sure how headrests are done, but shouldn't be too bad

It's very easy to do. I found a sticky at another site that gave step by step instructions but didn't really need them. Took about three hours total to do front and back. It's worth the time, effort and money in looks over the cloth interior.

The bottom of the front seats are the only place that has hog rings. Everything else is velcro. I used to pair of pliers to pull the rings apart and reused them. No special tools are required. I did take a metal clothes hanger with a small hook on the end to pull the C clip on the side tilt lever off. Other than that just standard tools.

Make sure you disconnect the battery cable before you take the front seats out to avoid the possibility of setting off the airbag sensors.

Yep, thats the site. You can also go to the new take off site and they have videos up now for project mustang that shows several critical steps in the process. They don't take the front seats apart like the sticky shows. Honestly I think it could be done without having to take them apart and cut the install time in half. I had a few wrinkles in the leather for a about a month since I did it when temps were low, but don't have any now that it's gotten hot. Looks factory.

Here you go......

Very easy to do. I had the factory V6 charcoal covers in my vert. Crazy as it seems I liked the GT covers better, "grass is greener on the other side syndrome"  Changed mine out. Only took about 4 hours. Came out looking really good. Now I have the ones I took off looking for a new home. The above link was a great tutorial. I found that the easier way of releasing the J hooks was to use a trim removal tool. saves the fingers. I also used a  plastic/nylon radio removal tool for the longer runs.

I know Katzkin makes some as that is what I just bought.  Still unsure if I'm going to use them or just sell them and go with a complete custom interior.  So I may have a full set for sale soon :)

Thanks for all the replies guys, you all have definately been a help...Saturday is going to be the day, i will take pics of the install and let you know how it goes....

as for the side airbag seats, ive been looking for a set of covers to accomodate the side airbags probably since i bought the car (a year ago this passed friday) i bought the car with cloth because i didnt feel like waiting 4 months to get leather...anyway, like i said i looked everywhere, and i just so happened to see a guy on ebay selling just the front seat covers for side airbags...no headrests or backseats unfortunately, so i am still looking for those.....but i dont know if this guy has anymore, you could check him out on ebay his sellers name is Outlawdan, shoot him an email, he may have multiple sets...good luck!
