Default 1986 Mustang SVO seized calipers

My 1986 SVO has been sitting in a garage for a couple of years and the front brake calipers have seized. Any tips for effectively and safely freeing them?

Either rebuild them or buy new.

That's my plan. How do I get them off?

Unbolt them from the spindle, remove the brake line and you will probably have to pry them off.

Pasenger side is about done. Reman calipers at Advance were $15 apiece (genuine Ford cores!); too cheap to consider a rebuild. The old caliper came off pretty easy.

The fluid is DARK. I am flushing the system with new fluid.

I hope the driver's side goes as easy as the passenger side.

Thanks for the tips.
