this is the reason for all of my stupid questions. i am sure i will have alot more as i get further into this project.

this is a complete car. the fender, hood, trunk, and doors were taken off when it was in storage and then i had to be moved quickly as the storage room was lost. it sat in a barn for a couple of years. a tree fell on the barn and squashed the front window which allowed water to rust the floor pans out. the trunk, doors and hood are in almost perfect condition except for a few small dings that i think i can pop out. the front panels and in really good shape except for a baseball size dent behind the front passanger window. the seats are in great shape.

my problem areas are the floor pans, which i have cut out and am about to replace.
the panel behind the back window which i can replace. a small patch behind the drivers side door.

the thing i don't know about is how to fix the area where the front glass sits, or how to keep it from rusting again.

crap none of the pictures i uploaded are working!!!!!!!

Cut out the rust and weld in new metal. You have to fabricate or find a donor car. Just remove the rusted areas.

yeah i think the only way to fix the window area is a donor car. but with that much rust you might as well swap the whole roof and pillar areas.
