I finally got my 90 lx out today and got it running, but I have realized I really need a torque converter. The car is pretty much stock, but it has a huge cam in it (probably a B303 cam if not bigger. It is idling around 900 rpm, but when I drive the car the cam is just pushing the car down the road. I'm thinking about a 2000-2500 rpm stall. What does everybody else think?

The B-303 cam isn't very big at all. It's comprable to the stock cam from Cobras. If the cam is that agressive when you're driving its gotta be way bigger than that. That stall sounds okay if it is that agressive though.

2200 will feel stock
go with the "stallion" 3000 from precision industries. there are a couple others that are good too, if it doesn't cost $500 it's junk, i'm not saying that every $500 converter is awesome.. but anything cheaper than $500 is junk guaranteed

To do it right, you would need the cam specs, and match the stall to the torque curve. Since you don't have the specs, and we don't know what you're using the car for, it's tuff to give advice. If it's not a daily driver, I say go with as much stall as you think you can live with and still be streetable. If you are willing to spend the money, error on the high side, because most converters will flash at a lower rpm than their advertised stall. Gear ratio, weight, also have an effect on stall. If it's truly a B cam. I would go for at least 3000 advertised.
4:10 gears, full exhaust, trickflow intake, mac cai, trickflow stage 1 cam,1.6 roller rockers, msd ignition, smog deleted,AC deleted, Ford racing double roller timing chain, trans go shift kit, , summit tranny cooler, mickey t drag radials, electric fan
I would not put a stall in a car less then 3000. I just put a 4000 in a customers of mine but it is for a c-4 it works great. I also put a 4000 stall in a customs AOD it was a Edge converter and it also works great. both are street cars. the C-4 car runs 4.10s and the AOD car runs 3.73. you really cant tell there that lose till you mash the gas.

It's prob a 26 spline, I have a C4 and I am getting tomorrow a super street fighter TCI 3500. I have a E303 373 gear and am running a 100 shot of giggle gas once in a while namely at the track. I think most C4's are 26 spline, however I could be wrong. Hope that helps.

yea i run 3:73 also and i run 125 shot wet kit, the trans is built with hardened gears and shift kit with b&m ratchet shifter, its got a stock converter in it though, not sure why , but i didnt build trans sooooo..also i have to slap it down in 1st then shift 2nd then 3rd every time, if i put it in drive it starts out in 3rd gear.. so i have to manuely shift it every time, got any idea why? i was told they might have done that when they built the trans, not sure why though, manual valve body possibly??
