Question for the Whipple guys,

Just finished the install on the Whipple, and took it for a test drive. No leaks, seems to run fine, etc. However, the water pump for the intercooler seems not to be working right. When I put the key in and put it in the ON position, the water pump turns on. However, when I crank the car, the pump turns off, opposite of what I guess should happen.
Any ideas of what the problem is? As far as I know, the wiring is correct, though I suspect surely there is something Iam missing.

if the IC pump works with the key
in the "on" and "run" positions, i think
you're good to go

No, I don't think I explained things right. What happens is this:
When I finally reconnected the battery ground cable, the heat exchanger water pump immediately came on. When I turn key, it goes off and does not come back on.

oh, ok

double check the relay wiring

You have a wireing problem or a bad relay. Did you connect the grey wire from the IC relay to the resistor wire on the passenger side? The resistor wire tells the relay to close the circuit and the pump runs. You have something hooked up backwards.

Yep, it was as expected: a dumb mistake. There was looming and electrical tape covering a lot of the wires, and we accidentally installed the power and ground wires reversed. All is good now; thanks again for the help!

We got everything figured out yesterday; Whipple runs good now, no problems. It was a stupid little problem, as suspected. The power and ground wires were reversed[:@]
