I have a '88 GT, idles great but when I romp on the throttle it hesitates and pops through the throttle body. I can push the throttle down easy and it will go up to 5000 rpms with no problem but if I let the rpms fall then romp back on it it will pop more. I have done a complete tune-up and have remove the air-pump and emisions pipe on the back of the motor. Could someone help?

Check your timing. Did you get the car like this or did it start doing it on its own or what?

sounds like a fuel issue check ur pressure and look for leaks on ur intake
