Has the coolant crossover tube for the Series VI changed at all since '05?Any design flaws improved? Mine loves to slowly leak and I'm trying to get this problem solved before next weekend (WSC).
I think the problem is that the channels for the o-rings are too wide and allows the o-rings to lay over too much. I put a thin bead of silicone just outside the channels and that seems to be doing the trick for now.
The silicon idea is a good one. I do not think it has changed but I can verify on Monday Toby.
Thanks! The whole reason I'm asking is because if there is an improved piece, I want the new one.
One other interesting thing is that there is no hole in the circular area on the right. There is a hole in that spot on the engine block, so basically fluid is coming up and hitting a flat spot.
Isit that way to control the amount of coolant flowing thru the crossover?
It is weird though.

Maybe somesort of flow-control???? If this space were open to allow additional coolant, maybethe temp would run too low?. Similar to 180° thermostat on one car and 200° thermostat on another. Maybe a turbulance thing as well......GOD HELP ME......... I HAVE FALLEN, AND I CAN'T GET UP!
