Hi, just popped over from the Classic forum to see if you guys could help me out.
A co-worker is thinking of supercharging his LX 5.0 & upgrading to a new Performance Automatics AOD.
His AOD is fine, he just plans on making lots of HP so he wants to upgrade.
I want an AOD for my 66 so I maybuy his stock one. I would like maybe 3.73 gears & with my old C4 that would be a lot of RPMs on the highway.
Question - Did the 1991 LX 5.0 have the AOD or AODE?
Question - Would a stock AOD be OK for around 300-350 RWHP?
Question - Is the AOD good, reliable tranny for a street only car that won't ever have slicks?
Question - Would $500 be a fair price?
