Wow I had an accident at that same spot. Woman blew a light, tboned some dude, then hit the gas instead of the brake and blasted my front end, went in a ditch, hit a pile of dirt, launched 20ft in the air, and landed ontop of the frame of a semi that was parked. The car was still accelerating as it was stuck suspended in air.

Dangerous intersection!

They must have been doing well in excess of 60mph... Which is just stupid in a area with intersections.

Transit is a very busy road plus there is a bunch of construction on atm. Seems like one of the worse possible places to try to race, except maybe the blvd.

Wow,That's near where I grew up in Buffalo.Horrible news.Used to be a lot of places by the lake you could run but this was back in the late 80's and it has grown up some since then.Lancaster Speedway would obviously be much safer for you guys up there.

I guy at work knew him. He showed me pictures of the crash on his phone, *shiver*.

What kind of stang was it? One of the guys told me it was an "02 mach" but I really wasn't listening (YES I know no 02 machs...).

This has been all over the news here in Buffalo.

Running on transit would be bad enough, its the busiest (and longest) street in the area, and anyone from Buffalo can tell you we have two seasons: winter, and construction.

Street racing is very safe if you do it right. Track racing is very dangerous especially if you hit those telephone poles in the middle of the track. A bit of sarcasm. I hate hearing about stuff like this.

PS I wonder if the producers of Fast and Furious feel any responsibility ? Probably not

sucks for them, but i dont feel bad for them. i know cold hearted, but if your going to street race then you alone take the responsability of your actions.......thus comes the sayings "you reap what you sow"

Thats like saying there was NO street Racing Before F&F . My grandpa tells me about when he use to Street Race in the 30's up to the 60's lol. (He finally Grew up)

Or does the Director of "The Godfather" Feel Responsible for Gang Related Deaths or Mobster Deats.......

Does Take 2 interactive/Rockstar games feel bad when someone steals a car and Kills a cop? Etc.....

The one place i went to street Race they Put a Fence up.(was a mile long road that dead ended at a beach Perfectly Strait no dips, potholes or anything, Out of the way and if u went at night the only people in harms way were the Participants)

Suck to hear stuff like that. theres a time and a place. i live about 45min from there and yeah its definatly not a good place to be doing it, anywhere there is busy intersections or heavy traffic at times is a big no no. Thats why we stick to back roads if we street race. otherwise its at the track. And most of all hes a moron for racing and driving irratically with someone else in the car, esp the girl hes banging behind his girlfriend. hehe

Hoooly crap!

Sad to hear the girl died though. Sad to think that 'maybe' she was telling him to stop....
