My Brother went to the track tonight with his friend and said there was an SRT-8 Cherokee that was stock running a 7.5.  And yes this is an 1/8 mile of course.  The guy said he was stock too.

Never seen one at the track,But that # stock is a little hard to believe.I have stated that these things are obviously monsters out of the hole but that # stock would be pretty damn good.I'd like to see it in action.Guess i'll have to get up to Clarksville soon.

Well a stock one in the 1/4 runs low 13's to high 12's, and I believe there have been a few to run 12.7-12.8 stock.  I would think with those #'s that a low 8 to high 7 might be theesable, but not a 7.5 stock.

thats a line of crap... no way it would run that stock. I have seen a few run, fastest 1/8th mile i have seen is 8.2 He has at least intake, tune and catback... couldnt see much else.

a 7.5 1/8th mile would be into the 11's pretty good. If i hit 7.9 in the 1/8th im running a 12 flat for comparison.

I'm pretty sure he was lying, but he never gave anyone enough time to check under his hood or anything.  And my Bro said he knows the guy didnt have exhaust unless it was the quietest aftermarket exhaust ever.

I'd call bullsh*t on the stock thing. They are fast but not 11 second fast! I dont care how good the driver is.

I actually raced against one at the track last weekend. It was bone stock, only had about 1100 miles on it. I had to go get the slip out of my car, here are his times:

60'    1.828
330   5.383
1/8    8.393
MPH   81.60
1000   10.912
1/4    13.183
MPH   101.91

This guy is no stranger to racing but it was his first and only pass in it. BTW, I ran a 13.22 but beat him because of my R/T.  also, it was my slowest run of the day. I did have my first 12.9 that day too.

I've been here and there.  I get extremely bored at work so now i'm looking for things to do and it looks like posting on every forum I know of is the trick.  I sold the cobra which I believe you saw in the for sale section.  I bought a supercharged 96 GT here are some pics.

AWD FTW!

I call BS on the stock as well.  8 +/- a tenth is believable

its funny that you posted this, i was at my grandpas last weekend building a retaining wall and his neighbor happened to have a new SRT-8 in his driveway and i was wondering what sort of numbers that thing would put down.

Why sell a N/A Cobra pushing over 400rwhp and get a non-pi GT?  And I dont know if its just me, but I dont see a S/C, I see a K&N intake and strut bar?
