Okay this is the first time I've been to the track with a rwd car. I left the car in drive and turned overdrive off. I launched the car at 2500 rpm's and lowered my psi to 27ish in my back tires. The track prep was amazing like it always is at Norwalk Raceway. It was about 55-60 degree's which I'm sure made the car happy. I was running a stock 2007 auto convertable mustang with just a tuner set to 93 performance.

The first car I raced was a 1993 5.0 which I beat by almost a half a second. I ran a 14.938 he ran a 15.404. My r/t was 2.112 and my 60' was 2.112

I then poured some octane booster in the car just because I had some and figured why not give it a try. My next race was agaisnt my buddy's 2004 srt-4 with a few mods (I knew I didn't have a chance really but figured I would see where I stand with him).

I went 14.823 with a r/t of 2.060 at 91.03mph and he went 13.6 with a r/t of 2.092 at 101.10mph

All in all I'm happy with the outcome plus I beat the 5.0 fox body which felt good because he had been running his mouth and looking at the ¼mile times I seem to be slightly faster then people even with more mods but that could be due to the perfect track conditions and cooler weather.

Ew, I wouldn't of ran that tune without a CAI...

Other than that, sounds like a good time! Glad you beat the 5.0! :) Would of rather you beat your friend though.

I asked on here and everyone said that it wouldn't be that big of a deal it only changes your a/f by a little bit. I was hoping to have my cai in by now but they sent it to the wrong address I guess. Yeah I wish I was able to beat my friend too. Those srt-4's may look like grocrey getters but they are quick. It's okay though I would beat him in a car show with no qustions. Actually I went to a car show with him last year and we pulled in and a little kid looks at his friend and he was like "My mom has that car" I don't think I ever laughed so hard in my life. Ahh good times lol.

I read somewhere here that adding octane booster was not a good idea...

Yeah from the times I've seen around here they aren't too bad. It's just a starting point though. I have my 3.73 gears going in Monday my cai should be here soon along with my tb and dual exhaust setup (well part of it atleast). If I wasn't in the middle of moving I would go ahead and purchase the x supercharger but I have to wait a few weeks for that. I can't keep a car stock for too long it's one of my problems I guess.
