I have been looking at Some Corbeau reclining seats...or seat. I HATE the Power seat I have now I feel i sit high and too close to the wheel. I am wondering if i might end up sitting too low. All I want is a extra inch to two inches lower. You see Since I am in a wheelchair getting my legs in and out can be a pain and right now i am hitting the inside of my right knee causing Injury Before i sheel out $550 bucks(Plus shipping) I want to know this is going to help.

Regards
Mal

dont really have any info on the corbeau seats for you.  not sure if you know this, or if its the same in the 97 as 94, but my drivers seat will go up and down, and all the way down feels like sitting on the ground.  it sounds like something kinda obvious, but just in case you didnt know.  and then again, not sure how low you are looking to get it either.  oh yeah, most of the racing seats have really high sides, so you might want to look at that too.  they bring a whole new meaning to "bucket seats"

Yeah i got my seat as far down and as far back as it can go. I would love another 2 inches of frame rails. As for the height i need it lower because of my Hand controls. They bolt up to the underside of the steering coloum(Not spelt right) and my right knee keeps hitting it when i am getting outcausing cuts and scraps Thanks for the heads up though.

if you want them to go back a little more, there is a how-to writeup on mustangworld on how to modify it and get about 2 more inches of legroom.  it wont let me link to that site on this forums, but just search it for "leg room mod".

Hey thanks! I will do just that. I think if i can even resolve ONE of the Two it would solve the knee issue.

i have a fixed back Corbeau seat in my 90 LX. it did not set any lower, - maybe higher.
i had the stock rails modified to lower the seat. do to the configuration of the floor, there is no fore/aft adjustment.
ok for me as i don't want anyone driving it anyway, but they might not be the best choice for you.

This is what I like about these forums. getting decent info from someone that has the product.
I went over to the other forum and printed out the pages for the other Mod to get the seat to sit back further. I am going to try this first. This will also allow me to see the floorpan at the same time. Just by looking down between the seat and center consol you can see why the seat sits fairly high. Thanks for your Input. I think you saved me 5 or 6 hundred bucks that i can put towards other things(lower control arms and what not)

Thanks
Mal
