c4 - 5/9/2008 8:36:41 PM    anderson sc   Posts: 7 Joined: 5/1/2008 Status: offline need a c4 for a  67- v8, want to rebuild it my self. Was there any diferance if so what to look for? About how much should I spend for one that will need rebuild? Thank you! Post #: 1

They did change the splines on the converter lmid 70's I think, but as long as you have the converter for the trans you buy you should be good.  (in reply to anderson sc) Post #: 4

THE ONLY FORD TRANY I REBUILD WAS A A4LD. SO I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT FORD TRANS. KEEP IN MINE THIS CAR IS GOING TO MY WIFES DAILY DRIVER ,NO HOT ROD STUFF. (in reply to 67coupe) Post #: 5

Obviously, the more splines the stronger and more reliable it is, so look for a C4 with the dipstick in the case, not the pan.
