Checked my bank account today and realized that I'm now $600 richer:D  Plus I got payed today, first paycheck after my raise, so I've got some money burning a hole in my pocket.

I've got an email fired off to Daze already for the CSRP (discbrakeswap.com) Kelsey-Hayes style disc swap kit, but I'm open to other ideas.

Shelby drop is already scheduled, along with a slight coil cut to lower the front end to a reasonable height, but that's only going to cost me $30 or so for the bit and template from Daze.  I should probably replace my control arms all the way around (to hell with rebuilding the uppers), as they're all original, the uppers are squeaking, and I believe the lower ball joints are on their way out.  Rear springs and shocks all the way around have already been done.  5sp upgrade is not affordable at this point.  Rear end is going to wait until the 5sp conversion so I can run low gears and still be able to drive on the freeway.

So....yeah, any other suggestions?  Basically something under $600 that I haven't thought of.

Good idea, but I think subframes are farther down the priority list right now:)  A little overkill for the rest of the suspension/drivetrain right now.

I am considering a set of Traction Masters, though.  Not that I'm getting enough traction to create wheel hop, but they won't hurt.

What tax check???!!!  I did my taxes this year, and was told...sorry, you make too much.  Great, I' m in the highest tax bracket possible, and I don't get a check.  I did see a deposit last week, but it was less then 10% of what I should have gotten.  Didn't even fill my truck up with it!

I'm still starving college student class, so I get all $600;)  The fact that you're in 'the highest tax bracket possible' probably has something to do with your lack of a rebate.

And all you people begging for money... :P  This is money I should be putting towards school and food and stuff.

Do not spend that rebate money. You will have to give it back to the IRS next April.
It's a crock. It's not free money and should  not be treated that way.

COMMUNIST! haha im seriously just playing.

its true you will have to file that 600 as earned income next year.

but if we dont spend that money then the government wasted its money and the marginal propensity to consume will decrease even further and cause a true recession.

the money mulitplier effect of that 600 dollars will increase by how many people and how much is spent of the total money divided across the country.

something like 1/MPS=MPC

spend it on the mustang and pay the percentage tax on the 600 you earned this year.

if your boss gave you a raise you would spend it. or atleast up to your marginal propensity to consume. which has maintained a .85 number for a while now.

besides your mustang wants you to spend it on it. have you ever denied an girlfriend money ? you know how testy they can get.

I agree completely.  You're not giving back $600 next year, you're just paying taxes on it.  I can deal with that.  Ideally you spend it on domestic products, ie. things made here in the US, and labor.  That way the money gets piped into the system rather than given to other countries, which doesn't help our economy at all.  All in all, buying the CSRP kit is a win win, for me and the economy:)

Lets see you get a check from the goverment You spend it and the goverment gets tax money back at whatever rate it is where you live and then YOU have to claim it on YOUR taxes next year. You are paying for the money twice. Stimulation Check are you stimulated yet. Just think of the people that haven't filed taxes in a couple years because they think they are getting free money. Boy will they be in for a Big Suprise when the goverment catches up with them.

Come On People The Goverment Does Not Give Anything Away For FREE unless You are a Foreigner.....

WOW! I'm really impressed, I have yet to meet someone who is not an ecenomics teacher who understands the money multiplyer effect and how it is related to the tax rebate and the ressession.
