Got my 3.55 today - 5/9/2008 7:19:55 PM    valley firearms Posts: 1806 Joined: 9/4/2005 From: Wasilla, Alaska Status: offline Got the 3.55's installed today. Of course I had to test it out. I put a set of 10" slicks on and gave her all she had. The guy video taping didn't have the camera on! DUH! It is very streetable now and cruises pretty smooth. I did find out why my engine was screaming for mercy before today. When I had the rear built I wanted 4.10's. The guy said they were 4.10 but I found out today they were 5.13's! He said they must have sent him the wrong gears in the wrong box, who knows. RE: Got my 3.55 today - 5/10/2008 5:58:29 AM    65mustangcoupe   Posts: 8 Joined: 6/22/2007 Status: offline True66GT, the Ford 9" can have gear ratios from 2.47:1 all the way up to 6.14:1.  If you get a Dana 60 you can get to 7.17.  3.55s are a nice compromise, should be a nice daily driver (in reply to kalli) Post #: 9

This is why I couldn't drive over 50mph. I kinda wished I had gone with 3.70 because I can only roast the tires in first and second now.
