Got the 3.55's installed today. Of course I had to test it out. I put a set of 10" slicks on and gave her all she had. The guy video taping didn't have the camera on! DUH! It is very streetable now and cruises pretty smooth. I did find out why my engine was screaming for mercy before today. When I had the rear built I wanted 4.10's. The guy said they were 4.10 but I found out today they were 5.13's! He said they must have sent him the wrong gears in the wrong box, who knows. I'm ready for cruising now.

My dad has a 1964 Ford van with an inline 6 that can pull a wheelie becuase it has 5.75s haha

5.29s are on my friends 4runner
with 35" tires though

that would make a huge difference alright :-) love your car, it'll be a sweet cruiser now. Still spinning tyres throughout all gears?

True66GT, the Ford 9" can have gear ratios from 2.47:1 all the way up to 6.14:1. If you get a Dana 60 you can get to 7.17. 3.55s are a nice compromise, should be a nice daily driver

Thanks for the compliments guys. This is why I couldn't drive over 50mph. I kinda wished I had gone with 3.70 because I can only roast the tires in first and second now[:D]. I can cruise though.
