getting a bike in a month or so and was just wondering what u guys think about them. i will be getting a 600 because i only weight about 145 and dont want to kill myself. the main reason im getting one is because of gas, not to go fast....all the time . anyway i personally think the gsrx looks the best out of them all but thats just me. what do u guys think. o yea and i hate the ninjas, they are ugly

Gas might be expensive but your life is worth more. Drive a car.

Dissin Kawi? Damn son. Anyway, back when I had a bike I heard that GSXRs had a bad habit of backing off their adjustable suspension on their own, after you adjust them. Maybe it wasn't true and maybe the prob's been fixed by now. If you hate Kawi, I'd say Honda. They couldn't f*ck up a product if they tried. What is your riding experience? Also if you get a four cyl sportbike, slap a steering damper on there pronto.

ORIGINAL: jman511115 If you're set on a bike, get a 250. You're only 145 lbs, a 250 will be plenty. My first bike was a Ninja 500 and it was pretty fun up at the high rpms (it revved to like 14 or something). It was advertised to run about a 12.6 whereas the 250 would run a 14.6...since four cyl bikes run in the 10s, I guess that means that a 600 is to a 500 as a 500 is to a 250... With the 08 Ninja 250 redesign the price has been bumped to 3500 while the 500 is still at around 5000...worth the extra IMO.

i have looked at the 250 a few times and liked it at first but somethin about the gsxr just caught my eye. hopefully they fixed that suspension prob by now to. id go for the honda just as easy but the left over 07 cbr is goin for 9k and the left over 07 gsxr is goin for 8k...im tryin to save some money. i have been riding dirt bikes since i was 8. kx80, yz85, yz125. used to race for a while to. i know that a little 125cc dirtbike is nothing compared to a 600cc street bike but i atleast understand the concept of geting the thing to move haha.

What about the Ninja650R? Big(gish) parallel twin might be a good bike between the dirtbikes and a big four cyl..
