For any reason at all, maybe the wife wanted it done or maybe you can't trust girls with their Birth Control lies.
Me, I want kids and I don't like the idea of unneccessary surgery.

Not only would I, I DID!!!
Bring on any questions re: vasectomies and I'd be happy to answer them.
Kids just aren't for me; I work 7:15-5 M-F and 8-6:30 Sat and I want my off time to be MY off time.

Zip it, grip it, and snip it!
Apparently it can be reversable too, so if you change your mind down the road, no worries..

Which tube exactly is cut? If you jizz, where does it go? You cant just sploog inside your sack!

Yes it's reversable but it's like 12 grand or more for the reversal surgery and insurance won't touch it.[:@]
Then again 12 grand is a small fraction on what you'll pay to raise a child, so it's really just a wart on the elephant's ass.

What if the tube burst or something on accident? You would be internally splooging. [:'(]

Your ejaculation will be the same, except volume will be down by 10% which is not noticeable.
The vas are separated and then, depending on the doctor, he'll either clamp each one, or kind of burn the ends, so they can't grow back (although sometimes they do; it's all in the ppw you have to sign before the slicing and dicing begins).
The doctor gave me some pain pills for afterwards but I didn't need them. My sack was bleeding for maybe 24hrs which was a little nerve-wracking. But hell, I blew a load the very next day and went back to work on Monday (surgery was on a Friday).
After the surgery, you have to bring the doctor two consecutive samples for them to test to make sure you're infertile. You must jack into a cup and swing it by the office.

since you'll still have the ability to paint the wall after the surgery, I guess you run the same risk of something "bursting" even if you're fertile.

and don't forget, with insurance it's $FREE$
of course, I chose to get mine when I had none, so it was like 700 bucks or so, but well worth it.
Um, some doctors won't do them unless you're over a certain age and/or have already had at least one child. Luckily my doctor wasn't one of them. I was 29 when I had mine.

I was ready to go under the knife after our second daughter. My wife said that I was having the next baby and she was tired of 'doing it' with rubbers so I was all cowboy'd up and ready to go.
Then she developed some problems with her internal mommy parts and had to have theportions of the baby factory removed; and because I am the good family man I am.....

NO.[:'(]But if you do get one make sure that you get tested after the procedure is complete. My brother-in-law did not get it checked. My new nephew is 6 months old now. [:-]Needless to say my sister-in-law got the tubes tied after she popped my nephew out. [8D]fd

prawned. I assume the doctor explained the two consecutive negative samples deal to him and he ignored or wasn't listening?

The way you feel about children now may very well not be the way you feel about children in 10 or 15 years.
Proceed with caution.

+10000 on the condoms. Personally getting tired of them as well. However, she's not on any kind of BC. We both really don't want kids......we like them, just don't plan on making our own. You can always borrow a kid from a family member or friend.
I've been contemplating the nut chopping..........really thinking of the whole "bareback" part!!! It's hard to find a doctor willing to do the procedure for a young guy that does not have kids. I need to check if my insurance will pay too.

I had mine done after my second son was born, we didn't want to risk 3 boys.
1) Go to a urologist, not your primary care physician. My urologist said that
all of the "repairs" he's ever had to do were done by PCPs. Uro's are experts
in that area.
2) Reverals are only 50% successful (so said my doc). AND, they hurt way more,
and require a bigger incision (to dig in and find everything to put back together).
Be SURE this is what you want. I'm not sure I'd use the word "easy".
3) Your junk will be purple and swollen (not in a good way) for 24 to 48 hours. Use
lots of ice. This part sucks. It's the price you're paying.
4) After that, it's all good. Never had a problem in 3 years, still baby-free. It can take
a few weeks for all the swimmers to make their way out of your system, hence the need
for testing. Don't skimp!

i'm actually surprised that a lot of you guys WOULD do it. I see it as.... If us women go through nine months of pain, andpush about a 7 pound human out of our bodies (sometimes more than once or twice), then you men can go under the knife for once.
My husband and I are actually trying to make some babies right now.... so he will not have one for a long time.:D

Good luck with the baby making. lol we tried for years before I had surgery to be able to have kids. Then had 4 good sized babies.(no c-section) they were8lbs 4 oz, 7lbs 5oz(5 weeks premature), 9lbs 6oz, and 7lbs 4oz (also early). Bothpremies were fine. the first one stayed in the hospital for a week. and the 2nd came home within 24 hrs of birth. If the premies had notbeen early they would have been around 9lbs too. lol Then had my tubes tied to stop. He just had to help make them and hold my hand while I had them.lol It was such hard work for him.[8D]

fairly easy? IDK about that. Plus it's about 12 grand or so and insurance won't cover it. About the only easy decision on this planet that will run you 12 grand is a ZX-10R.

I got snipped after my wife and I had our 2nd kid. She was going to get her tubes tied but I was in the military, and those doctors will not tie your tubes unles you are over 30 and have at least 3 kids. Been snipped for 9 years now, never regretted it, not once.
