well that sounds like its going to make alot of power. You want to be careful because the stock 5.0 block is notorious for splitting around 500whp. I know of a few people who split their blocks. Combo sounds good but see about upgrading that block if possible. I hear the B&G turbo kits are pretty good.

Good plan

No need for 72cc chamber heads.
60-64cc will be plenty and drop compression nicely.

Get a custom cam from either Flow Tech, LSM or Jay Allen

Use ARP bolts and studs EVERYWHERE.

expect 4-8 week wait from most of those guys.

You could also consider a custom kit. My brother build his old turbo set-up for only $2,000.00
That included the turbo, cheapo summit racing headers, aluminum charge & downpiping, Procharger BOV, 42lb injectors & Pro-M 80mm MAF.

Heran a stock 88 crown vicblock (Non H.O) with a stock crank, Scat 4340 forged rods & TRW 8.5.1 forged pistons. Every bolt in the bottom end was ARP though. Combined with AFR 185 heads, F303 cam, a GT40/Downs Box Intake and a Garret GT-4297R (70mm)turbo it made 620rwhp/750rwtq @10psi on VP 110 race gas. Completly streetable! We drove from georgia to delaware with no issues. 85-90* temps outside and the water temp gauge read 170 degrees the whole way there.

He now has a 394ci Dart based 351w with AFR 225's, custom Herbert solid roller .720 lift cam & Edelbrock super victor intake. Combined witha GT-47 (88mm)turbo @22psi it makes 1200rwhp on a soft tune with a"FAST" EFI system. Look for him in NMRA drag radial this year. Its a Black 88 GT, Weld alumastar wheels & a gold stripe on the hood. Also says "SKINNY" on the door windows. Went an 8.20 @176mph last friday at our local track which has ****ty traction.

I helped a friend do a twin turbo setup on his stock 351w and it held up to the 600hp easily.

No sense putting money into a stock 302 block for a turbo setup. The stock internals of the 302 will hold up longer then the block itself. If you're going to put the money into building a forged motor, do it in a block worth a damn such as a Dart or a Boss. Your setup will only be as strong as your weakest link. 351's are a bit better then the 302 and should handle 600-700hp. Anymore then that and your going to run into similar issues. If you are looking for big HP, you're better off biting the bullet now and investing in something that will continue to perform for you in the future.

My friends stock 120K 302bottom end/supercharged combo let go at just 450rwhp. My stock bottom end held up all last year and part of this year with 576rwhp. It has good rods bolts and main studs with a 1/2" steel main girdle. everything was balanced also.

Another freind of mine ran a 428 stroked 351w (stock block) and it held up all last year before splitting the block last race of the season. It had Yates D3 heads, solid roller cam with a single carb sittin on a victor jr. It made 650rwhp and he cranked it to 7500rpm all day.

Don't throw alot of hp at a stock 302 block because it will split at around 500-550hp. Just use a stock 351w for a build up. That way you have a little more strenght than the 302 plus 49 more cubes.

I<3 351. lol but seriously bro, i wouldnt wast emy time with a stock 5.0 block, the only reason i run one is that i split my 351 wideopen and had the 5.0 layin around. my next build will probley be a built 351 with turbos or a kenne bell blower.(still deciding which)

The girdles just hold the pieces together when it does split :D

lol...I was going to say the same thing. Like mentioned above, don't spend alot of money on nice internals in a stock block. If it does split, you're out a block and all those shiney new rotating assembly pieces when they get spit out onto the track. Just slap a kit on a stock motor, and have fun with 450whp or more, while you're saving for the good stuff.
