screw drive at the bottom and trim the elbow with a nice straight edge

It is a bit uneven in the pic. Is that a big crease in the filter too?

Turning the clamps will make it look much cleaner and I think having them right at the edge is the way to go. I noticed you have your clamp at the throttle body turned too. Is it still easy to access the screw?

I don't suppose those tips are anywhere in the instructions, assuming the kit even came with any?

no problem accessing the screw, I used a socket and ratchet to tighten, and there were no tips included in the instructions.

What heat shield is that? That doesn't look like the one I have that came with the JLT.

it's the JLT heat shield, I just added the weatherstripping to try to seal it to the hood, plus it looks better then the piece of plastic they call a heat shield.
