That's hot. I'm thinking about getting a hood kind of like that for my car some day in the future, and striping it. But that wont happen for a looooong time.

looks good... one thing i would do if its at all possible is try to get the style of the grille in the hoodscoops to match your front grille style

you know, make them both billet bars? i realise im nit-picking, but it just jumps out at me...

also, i think the anget 47 mirrors would look great

haha its Funny that you bring that up because it was my first thought after I saw it on for the first time....Idk if they make a billet(Bar style) insert for the hood scoops...Or if they make a mesh grill(idk know if a mesh grill would even look good)....But if all else fails and it starts really bothering me I might just black out the mesh

That hood is my favorite out of all the Mustang hoods. I'd like to get one but the total cost with painting is out of my budget.

Well...That hood is $539 from Cervini's. With painting it'll probably be close to a grand. Correct? How much was your total cost with painting?

Well I picked my hood up from Englishtown Raceways swap meet(Cervinis has a booth there) And I talked them down to $400(Probably because I have purchased so much from them)...And then I paid $300 for the hood to get painted(Got a deal since I have had so many parts painted at the bodyshop) so all together I paid $700....But yea I would imagine after you got it shipped to you and painted it would be around $900....You could always buy the hood then hold on to it until you save enough for paint

If I bought the hood, and let it sit around the garage taking up space, my woman would kill me! LOL

What finish does the hood come in? Is it white gel coat or something? If it's white gel coat then maybe I can get away with driving around with an unpainted hood for awhile until I can get it painted. :D

By the way, did you buy the ram air kit also, or plan to?

Yes it is white when you get it so I would imagine you might be able to get away with it on for a little while....No I didnt buy the ram air kit...Yet...I am going back and forth with Cervinis whether it will work with a JLT2 intake....If it doesnt then I might not have the "Ram Air" working but one good thing about thia hood is itlets a lot of heat out of the scoops

Get the ones from Blue Oval. I have them and I also put some LED turn signals on the hood inside the hood scoop. I was trying to make it look like knight rider haha... Nice hood.

Looks great Simplex....IMO much better than the stock one. I would agree that the C-series though nice has no functionality in anyway...(thats why I got the GTS-3 hood). Yet to be painted and I might keep the other hood and swap them out when I feel like it (like you would at the track with some sticky meats in the rear). Again congrats!

Nice hood. I am having a similar one from Cervini put on right now. But I'm pretty sure mine did not come with grills for the scoops. Where did you get those?

Mr.Bape
09-26-2008, 02:39 AM
do they even make billet style grille inserts for the scoops? i was wondering why the Cervinis side scoops only the top one comes with a grille insert and the bottom one doesn't.

TOMBSTANG
09-26-2008, 03:25 AM
ha the dillema with the grille matching the mesh in the hood vents. thought I was the only one who noticed that..........

Thats a problem Im having at the moment also, I love the cervinis grille and want to get it so bad but it does not match my hood vents. I thought about buying 2 upper grilles from cervinis and putting one in the normal spot and cutting the other to fit in my bottom opening then using the left over to fab up something to fit in my hood vents. Thats alot of bread for 2 grilles though and not even sure the 2nd will work out.

or I just go with 2 bullett grilles and fab one for the bottom or leave it open its painted so you dont see anything but it woudl look sweet with agrill stuffed in there im pretty sure
