Tuesday night...this kid surprised the **** out of me. I would have taken him, but of course, he went out and got a race tune that day.
We went from a dig and 2 rolls (I didn't expect the rolls to come out in my favor regardless of the tune). From the dig, we both launched hard, and I was pulling on him while spinning. We got to about 40 mph, he shifted, and took off like a rocket! (friggin v-tech) He had probably 7 cars on me by 100.
Rolls, nothing special, we both punched it and he left me haha
But wow, I was genuinly surprised. I definitly have a new respect for Honda's. (certain engines anyway)
I wouldn't be surprised if it was over 200whp. In a car that weights 800-1000lbs less than a V6 S197, that's going to be fast. I rode in a 2500lbs Civic with a boosted D16 with only 200whp and it felt as fast if not faster than my GT.

I think its something about riding in something small and lower to the ground? I've ridden in my friend's Chevy Sprint w. the I3 engine... seems like you're going fast even when you're only at like 60Km/h. That and he holds first to the point I think the whole car is going to blow up.

I used to run boosted civic swap hatches all the time and from a roll they would pull real hard and get the jump on me til about 110-120ish, then I would reel them in and put about half a car on them, from a dig though I'd put about a car or two and keep them off.
Not sure but alot of them that I ran(and most untuned kits/8-9psi) were running the standard t3/4 turbos so it's kinda big for their motors without supporting fuel mods. It may get the boost from the powerband they have (vtech) from a roll but takes awhile for things to get going from a dead stop.
That was all in my old stage 2 SRT-4 and I would whoop on this one particular crew that were all boosted swapped civics lol.Don't think they liked me very much.
I am pretty sure I'd get raped by those same cars in my stock GT...

My buddy has a turbo'd integra with way way to much money in it. Anyways the thing only has like 330fwhp but it still feels like you're eye balls are going to pop out of the back of your head.

i was on the freeway late one night back when I first bought my car when a civic came flying up... I recognized the hatch shape, so I thought what the hell
shifted into 3rd at 60... but he passed me like I wasn't doing anything
of course, that was when i was stock... I wonder how much better my mods have helped me. Probably not much haha
They can be made fast. I was reading a thread over at honda tech about some all motor hondas in the 10-11 range. That **** is imressive as far as I'm concearned.

Respectable loss! Hey don't feel to beat up though, I lost to a primered, early 90's hatch that looked and sounded like a$$! That was my first loss in the stang, and one I won't soon forget
