Tuesday night...this kid surprised the **** out of me. I would have taken him, but of course, he went out and got a race tune that day.
We went from a dig and 2 rolls (I didn't expect the rolls to come out in my favor regardless of the tune). From the dig, we both launched hard, and I was pulling on him while spinning. We got to about 40 mph, he shifted, and took off like a rocket! (friggin v-tech) He had probably 7 cars on me by 100.
Rolls, nothing special, we both punched it and he left me haha
But wow, I was genuinly surprised. I definitly have a new respect for Honda's. (certain engines anyway)
How big of a shot do you have? I don't think you spraying would have been enough to beat him.

What kind of power is he putting down?
And why roll race?[sm=lame.gif]

I wouldn't be surprised if it was over 200whp. In a car that weights 800-1000lbs less than a V6 S197, that's going to be fast. I rode in a 2500lbs Civic with a boosted D16 with only 200whp and it felt as fast if not faster than my GT.

I think its something about riding in something small and lower to the ground?
I've ridden in my friend's Chevy Sprint w. the I3 engine... seems like you're going fast even when you're only at like 60Km/h. That and he holds first to the point I think the whole car is going to blow up. :D

Even with a 75-100 shot he still would've won.

I used to run boosted civic swap hatches all the time and from a roll they would pull real hard
and get the jump on me til about 110-120ish, then I would reel them in and put about half
a car on them, from a dig though I'd put about a car or two and keep them off.
Not sure but alot of them that I ran(and most untuned kits/8-9psi) were running
the standard t3/4 turbos so it's kinda big for their motors without supporting fuel mods.
It may get the boost from the powerband they have (vtech) from a roll but takes awhile
for things to get going from a dead stop.
That was all in my old stage 2 SRT-4 and I would whoop on this one particular crew
that were all boosted swapped civics lol.Don't think they liked me very much.
I am pretty sure I'd get raped by those same cars in my stock GT...[&:]

My buddy has a turbo'd integra with way way to much money in it. Anyways the thing only has like 330fwhp but it still feels like you're eye balls are going to pop out of the back of your head.

nice loss, you have to respect anything that can be made fast:D
A few more mods on the torque monster and you will be beating civics left and right:D:D

i was on the freeway late one night back when I first bought my car when a civic came flying up... I recognized the hatch shape, so I thought what the hell
shifted into 3rd at 60... but he passed me like I wasn't doing anything [:@]
of course, that was when i was stock... I wonder how much better my mods have helped me. Probably not much haha
Time to HIT THE TRACK!

They can be made fast. I was reading a thread over at honda tech about some all motor hondas in the 10-11 range. That **** is imressive as far as I'm concearned.

Respectable loss! Hey don't feel to beat up though, I lost to a primered, early 90's hatch that looked and sounded like a$$! That was my first loss in the stang, and one I won't soon forget[:@]:([&o]

My friend just finished up his N/Astroked k20 build in a civic hatch. He says it really needs a better tune but the best run he got a english town a week ot two ago ontest and tunenight was a 12.6 at like 110. I'll try to get some picks of the car and some of the slips, but if you saw this car the only thing that even makes it stand out is the exhaust other than that if you were sitting next to it you'd think it was just another 16 second civic.:D

yeah at first i was afraid you had a GT till i noticed the lights weren't off to the sides and then scrolled down and saw your sig. and +1 i don't know how it's misleading, is says "v6" right there..
but anyways that's a good race, everyone looks down on civics until one blows by them and they learn a few things..I saw a real done up civic in carlisle(cause the import car show) he had it sent from Japan because the drivers seat was on the right side of the car, I passed it at first expecting a typical ricer car but then noticed it and asked him what he had done, he just told me it wasn't a normal civic anymore. I'm sure he would of blew me away because he got on it a little and that thing took of pretty quick when i heard the turbo spool up.

My brother and his friends, 4doorcivicsleeper especially, has completely changed my point of view on imports. I mean, these cats are building 10-12sec 4bangers, and most are doing it pretty cheaply. There is one that has dropped a pretty penny on his, but he's run 7.30's @100 in the 1/8, on tiny slicks. He now has 24" I believe.
Respectable loss to the op, especially against a k20. Time to hook up with fazm and get that thing really moving :D

i guess i could say one big thing over imports though like civics and such, nobody really pays any attention to them to be a cool car, yeah they can be fast, but it's nice to have a really cool looking and fast car at the same time:)

Maybe thats a little broad :) Sorry about that, I do know that the one said ^ hatch, if he can hook, should be pretty deep in the 11's. I thought that Aron's (4doorsleeper) brother was supposed to be a little quicker, but he's not tuned yet (last I know of).
EDIT McCaren is alread in the low 11's. 7.31 came out roughly at 11.4*. I think he's now on a 24x9 hoosier, so he should be shiiiting and gitting pretty good now. Maybe veryvery high 10's?(if he wasnt maxxed out during that 7.3 run (16psi) he def has a shot and 10's)

Yeah I'm not sure who it was but I went against a turbo93ish blue colored Civic coupe with black wheels (Rota I believe).I was told later on it was just a D16. It was a short race I had 4 people in the car and pulled him about a car. That was also before I had alot of the bolt-on's on the GT.That was hmm about 2 years ago if I had to guess.
That is not even close the the level your talking about though..just thought you might know the car..
