I was wondering what Ford rated the Mach 1 at in horsepower? I also wanted to know if these were 4v motors and ask what you can do to get a little bit more power out of these cars.

What did they weigh from the factory?

I believe they were rated with 305 bhp, It is a 4v motor but I dont know the weight..I'd say in the ballpark of 3500...Go to cars.com and research it for more info.

Rated at 305bhp, actually putting out between 325-335bhp and 345-370btorque. They are 4v's, are about 3450lbs stock, and what do you want to get power wise out of them? 300rwhp? 350bhp? please be more specific. Looking for power alone, a few exhaust and bolt-on mods can easily get you near 375bhp+ or a supercharger you can safely see over 400rwhp(about 475bhp). But most people agree on any "muscle" cars the best first mods are gears(no more hp, but you will definitely feel the gains), drag radials, and a tune. With those mods on a stock mach 1, a good driver can see about mid 12's(faster than a stock C5 corvette). But most common first mods are exhaust b/c everyone loves muscle car sound over more performance .

Mach's love to breath and rev high so doing all the intake stuff and exhaust + gears (4.10/4.30) and you're set. Now all you need is some tires so you can find traction with those new gears!

Too much work done with the exhaust.
