Does polish do it's job ok with just microfiber towels or do you have to use a porter cable to do the best job? If the towels do ok, should I apply with one and finish off with another towel? Thanks in advance. I've only washed, clayed and waxed before. I have some turtle wax polishing compound. Will that work or will I see better results from Juztang's light polish?

The Turtle Wax Polishing Compound is harsher than what it needs to be. It'll mar and swirl your paint a good amount if you aren't careful. I wouldn't recommend using it. Before I bought professional supplies, I used this compound and it turned my car into one massive hazey mess. I threw it right out.

Polishing by hand is tough, it's rather ineffective and the amount of labor you have to put into it is excessive. I'm not saying it doesn't work, but it takes a lot of effort. You can use it with a microfiber, but you'll have to clean it well if you want to use it for drying at some point later.

I don't like Turtle Wax polishes at all. My Light Polish will work so much better by hand, you will be able to correct light swirls and scratches with it. Anything else and you would have to step up to the PC to do correction. I also like to apply polishes with a foam applicator by hand.

I do not recommend using anything Turtle Wax makes. Their polishing compound is pretty harsh. I'd also recommend buying a PC, it'll be the best investment you've ever made for your vehicle, I promise.

+1 Throw that garbage away and definitely spend the money and get a Porter Cable....you will NOT regret it.

On second thought, you can keep the TW Polish Compound in case you want totry to smooth out a highly oxidized hood like on my F350 Tow Mule, or maybe if you want to shine up the rough and oxidized hood on your Craftsman garden tractor [8D].....but never on your prized possesion vehicle [:o]

My car is only 6 months old but I've already put 15000 miles on it. Not really looking to correct swirls, just get the best shine/depth. Should I not polish and wet glaze instead? Then wax?

I would still polish the car, the polish will bring out more shine and reflection plus clean the paint. Then the glaze will add a lot of wetness and depth to the paint. Last top with the wax. This combo will give a really deep and wet look that you are looking for.

A lot of people like Turtle Wax Ice. I tried it but it doesn't stay on long enough for me.
