I was coming home from class last night and was cut off by an M3. I caught a light with him a couple of miles down the road and when it turned green I took off pretty quickly to let the guy know I wanted to race. He floored it and started to pass me so I floored it and passed him. I had about a car near the end of third and had to slow due to upcoming traffic. Next, we hit another red and I talked with him briefly and he wanted to go again. This time I got him by about 1.5 cars by 100. Next, we did a roll race from about 45-50 and I put a couple cars on him up to about 110-115. He was a cool guy and a good sport. Best race since the blower has been installed. (I had to do some research on this and I'm pretty sure it was an 05 model, it was pretty quick).

Why do you guys always assume that people feel like shat if they get beat by something? And since you said older GT, would it have been any better to get beat by a newer GT?

Losing sucks! Dont matter if it's to a civic or a ferrari

We all know if you throw enough money at something it can be fast. I would never be pissed if I got beat by a "lesser" car. I'd probably want him to pull over so I could check out his mods. Now if he was a complete tool, that's a different story. But I am a car guy, so I know the deal. Anything can be made fast and anything can be beat.

Couldn't disagree more. Which one of the following people would you have more respect for:
"Dude, I lost to a Honda Civic yesterday!"
"Dude, I lost to a Ferrari Enzo yesterday!"

Whats the difference? losing is losing! If some guy throws sixty thousand dollars into a civic and build a 9 second track car and kicks your 14 second ass. Or you get your ass handed to you by some rich snob in a $100.000+ ferrari. It's the money that beat you not this amazing feat of engineering. And you need to get off your high horse about respect and learn to respect the amount of time and effort that goes into making a civic fast. Trust me there are Civics out there that would sh*t all over you. Respect that.

Some people don't understand anything can be made fast. Usually rich middle aged guys that don't know jack about performance but have money and a huge ego. They go out and buy some expensive performance car and think they're the most bad assed mofo around, and then when they get beat by "just a Mustang" as they would most likely put it, it's a huge blow to their ego. A combination of ignorance and their ego leaves them upset.
I've even seriously had some guy tell me that the Cadillac with the Northstar V8 is the fastest bestest car out there that someone could afford. He went on and on like a Caddy with a Northstar was gonna trash anything it ran on the street, and when I mentioned cars like the Z06 Vette(LS6 at the time) he started ranting about how they were too expensive and exotic for people to afford, and I was like "And the Cadillac is cheap?" He just couldn't accept that there actually were cars faster than a Cadillac in the same price range and cheaper, because they didn't have the Northstar V8 they HAD to have been slower.
Some people just really don't get it. Performance is performance regardless of what it comes from. If someone had an eco-friendly car that ran on cooking oil and went 10's, it's still a 10 second car.

Who cares how much horsepower it has, all that matters is how fast it goes!
Best run 13.23 at 106.97mph with a 2.183 60' Times from before tune and driver mod.
idk, I think most people who really know anything about cars, know mustangs can be pretty big wild cards. They can be bone stock or blown to holy hell with 500+ rwhp. That is true for all generations of Mustangs....well except maybe the Mustang II j/k

Actually sir, that's 13 and a half second ass. You would be the 14 second ass if you were stock.
Anyway, I respect the amount of work and effort that goes into building a civic, but, in my view that seems like a waste of money. Instead of spending 60,000 working that civic, pay an extra 6 grand and get somthing much faster, like your Srt4, then put LESS money into that and make it go just as fast. And, oh ya, it's actually a nice looking car.
I don't like Honda civics. That's my opinion. You have yours I have mine, that's how the world works.
