ok i have a 99 gt with a factory spoiler. im wanting to take it off. any inexpensive procedure like plugging the holes? i know the paint is three step and kinda $$$. any help, open to any suggestions.

Hm   9 year old car. You will have paint fade !  Fill holes and repaint trunk lid is the only positive solution. Then you may not match the car. Leave it on.

Take the spoiler off & just plug the holes with duct tape temporarily. Leave it like that for a week & see if you REALLY like the look of it before comitting any $'s

yeah i thinks ill do that first. i found where this guy plugged the holes with plastic plugs and sealed it with silicone. ill probably do that.

yeah i know people use plugs and silicon, or the push tabs (like whats under your hood holding the insulation on) with silicon.

problem may be the condition of your trunk lid.  mine was really scratched from where my spoiler sat on mine, so without getting my trunk redone taking the spoiler off wasnt going to happen for me.

definately leave it off for a week and see how you like it before you make anything permanent or difficult to reinstall your spoiler.
