I will create a new code this time...but PLEASE do not post any discount/coupon codes anywhere else on the internet. They are meant to be for this forum only. Failure to follow this rule will result in the code being deleted permanently.

Do not ruin this special savings for your fellowMustangForums.com members.

I will keep the current code active until Monday nightsince I will not be on the forumsover the weekend to answer inquiries for the new code. After that, only the new code will work.

So if one was to search "American Muscle Discount" it's likely that a thread from this site would come up. It probably wasn't someone from the site with nothing to gain. Thats just how those coupon sites work.

It's a bum situation when you try to do something cool for the members, and a place like that takes advantage.

Yeah, hopefully the 50 post count rule helps deter that. Thats also one of the reasons that people have to PM me and not post it up anywhere. If I see a suspect sounding user name, I usually check out the user's posts to make sure they are not garbage/SPAM posts.

Nevermind... but this really stinks for the honest people that would not do something like spread the discount code.

just throwin this out there:

with all the technology wizards out there, theres gotta be a way for you to get an ongoing database of user names. That way, at checkout when people put in the code, they need to put in a user name from the forums as well....and if anything fishy pops up, you could get in touch with a moderator.

then again, that might cost a bit to create....thus defeating the purpose of the code...lol

i can't really understand WHY! I need fifty posts to receive a discount at AM.Why not keep it simple?I'd like to purchase ANOTHER set of rims and tires to fit my big brake kit,but shipping to Canada is quite a bit more.A discount would help and prompt me to purchase,otherwise I'll wait 'til next summer,it's not a must have.I guess this this is one more post(yawn!!!!).Maybe I'l start a group anticipating the new Camaro!!

The reason you need a post count of 50 is so people don't join the forums just to get the code. We want people to join the forums who are going to post and help other people out, not just to get free stuff.

I'll agree with that. The only problem is although some have been around for a while and post here and there it may take them longer to make 50 posts than those who post crap after more crap just to get their post count up. Don't know if there is an easy answer so 50 sounds the best.

yeah i just posted a little bit more to get my 50 posts. I got an account a few weeks after i got my car. i just don't post a lot.
