ODDYSEY 05-09-2008, 08:44 AM meh... i don't care for them, but that is my opinion. They don't look bad though. dmhines 05-09-2008, 08:53 AM I think you should have asked before you ordered them .. I personally don't like them ... SumterBoy 05-09-2008, 09:55 AM ORIGINAL: Margarita Girl Pics of your car? Dont have any yet, but i have a 2007 Vista Blue v6, i plan on painting the black plate to match the color. Black Mamba GTT 05-09-2008, 10:18 AM What size are they? SumterBoy 05-09-2008, 11:18 AM 22" danbevsv6rumbler 05-09-2008, 11:28 AM will 22" fit on our cars? thin slices of rubber huh?? 22" might look a little excessive, but I think the rims are neat. I would have gone 18-20 max though, JMO. get us some pics of your car so we can envision it!! 4.0 Stang 05-09-2008, 11:39 AM damn 22's. Post pics when u get them on. SumterBoy 05-09-2008, 11:45 AM 245 35 22 not that thin but there isn't room for error either but that is the same with any large size rim Here is a picture of my buddy's car hes got 22" also local://upfiles/89018/088ECD225EC845C8B5DB5E0C7E2786CB.jpg steveo555 05-09-2008, 12:22 PM those are definitely going to slow down the car PonyUp 05-09-2008, 12:30 PM hmmmm...I dunno! red07Pony 05-09-2008, 12:35 PM ORIGINAL: SumterBoy 245 35 22 not that thin but there isn't room for error either but that is the same with any large size rim Here is a picture of my buddy's car hes got 22" also local://upfiles/89018/088ECD225EC845C8B5DB5E0C7E2786CB.jpg Nice looking car, nice looking rims....but not nice looking rims on the nice looking car. 22's are just way too big for our cars IMO. I think 20's are the max that lookgood and even some 20's look too big IMO - it all depends on the tires at that point. But that's just me. So since you asked, my opinion is too big. You'll definitely need to post pics though. Black Mamba GTT 05-09-2008, 12:38 PM Just be careful of speedbumps, pot holes, rocks, little pieces of dirt, maybe some dust that settles on the road. [>:] O and just be ready to be ridiculed by putting 22"s on a mustang[8D] SumterBoy 05-09-2008, 12:47 PM My buddy has gotten nothing but compliments on his. One day we got pulled over an the officer was giving him props on how good his car looked. I dont know if that is why he only got a warning but thats what he likes to tell people. ODDYSEY 05-09-2008, 01:06 PM 22"s do not belong on a Mustang, definitely a big no no. yuck! SumterBoy 05-09-2008, 02:36 PM Some people say that 20" dont belong on Mustangs either. SumterBoy 05-09-2008, 08:01 PM Thats a negative blackstang14 05-09-2008, 08:14 PM ^^ wtf?? ..idiot, much? his rims are like a honda civic with a fartcan muffler? if u meant to say rice, just say it. rims does not equal a honda civic. plus, civics cant even fit 22's [/quote] Maybe the word was rice.....which would also be my description. Inappropriately sized, gaudyrims are just one component of the look that could also include the lambo doors and theboy racer wing as described above. I don't know what sized rims a civic maxes out with, but 18-20's would seem to parallel chrome dripped 22's on ours. I don't know why you would get all fired up over this......he did ask for everybody's opinion. All that really matters is that he likes them though. sorry to hijack the thread, don't worry this is the last post on this landon.moss 05-09-2008, 08:27 PM i've been thinking...since gas keeps going up and all, maybe we should just go to horse-drawn cars...yup, you heard me...people seem to be puttin wagon wheels on their cars anyway. plus, all you'd hafta do is take care of the horse instead of an exec's 15 yr old daughter's hummer:D jp...i like the design of them, but seem kinda "gothy"but maybe only 17 or 18...damn 22s...holy buckets project85 05-10-2008, 06:41 AM ORIGINAL: Black Mamba GTT They do look good on the WCC Shelby!! I never thought about 22" until i saw my buddies car. I just looked at your buddy's car, and I still say no no. Personally, I would be embarrassed to drive my Mustang with 22s. But I hope you'll enjoy yours; your own perception is what counts. Good luck. Jmalecek 05-10-2008, 11:07 AM Eww...eww...eww...to your buddies car and those rims. Sorry bud. I'll be the one to say it cause no one else will...people compliment him in person because they are being nice, nothing more. Sorry...unless your name is Eminem or you're trying to be the next Eminem...It looks trashy. And if you are trying to be the next Eminem, then I am sorry. I guess my only question is...now that you got your rims coming, when are you going to pick up the Hummer they belong on? I love my car and wouldn't put those rims, or any 22"s for that fact, on my mustang if someone paid me $10,000.00. But anyways, no offense intended, to each his own, I just wouldn't do this to my car if someone paid me. There are so many nice 18 or possibly even 20 inch rims out there that look so nice, there is absolutly no need for 22s. Enjoy replacing those tires every 6,000 miles at probably 400 a pop. Stang_Heritage07 05-10-2008, 12:29 PM I'm going to go ahead and disagree on this selection. jrhykushi 05-10-2008, 02:06 PM ORIGINAL: Jmalecek Eww...eww...eww...to your buddies car and those rims. Rdot9 05-11-2008, 10:41 AM nice rims but to big, I have 18's on my car at stock height and i think 20 would look ok but anything bigger would look HUGE. but if you like it go for it. beaustang 05-11-2008, 11:22 AM Sorry, but even those 20's look like wagon wheels. 22's would look like a cartoon.ORIGINAL: kevinmalec I have 20" Cobra replica rims on my stang and really like the looks and feel of them!! :-) The 20" rims fill out the wheel wells nicely and makes the car look a lot beefier!! (That is putting it nicely). LOL...ya know what, it's funny you say that, because I was considering not posting it because it was my first post... I've been a member here for about 1-2 months...and you're right, I don't post much, I typically like to read discussions and just stalk in the shadows, I'm not much of a poster...but that makes my post here even more validated...because... If after all the posts I've read here and not said a word...this is by far the most god ugliest thing I've ever seen done to a mustang, so I had to comment. I'm not attempting to be mean or hurt someones feelings, but he asked for an opinion, and I gave an honest one. If this forum is just about posting what you're doing to your car and wanting people to compliment it...then here... "Wow, that looks so good." - And trust me, if thats the way this community is...this will be my last visit to the forums here. You don't need to even ask me to leave. I'm not a big fan of sitting around stroking each other's you know whatswith false opinions just to be nice. Thanks for your time, and again sorry I don't agree with gaudy, ghetto, white trashthings being done to beautiful cars. I had a blow out in the rear going over train tracks on 295/30/20's and they were at 32 psi. Here's my current car with 20" (255/35/20 in the front and 295/35/20 in the rear). As you can see, it's a tight squeeze and just barely fits nicely. Oh and BTW, that mark on the rear is from the camera. http://img170.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00127xl7.jpg http://img357.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00128yg2.jpg http://img72.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00129ir4.jpg wildboi013 05-11-2008, 09:23 PM are those lowering springs with 20's .....?>>>>???
