haha ok so i am semi ignorant on the actual fuel entering process. id love to learn more, but that requires taking them apart, and currently i have nothing i could possibly take apart, except maybe a lawnmower. maybe if they all didnt run so well. and i know that dirtbikes are carbs haha. btw, since you guys are bored and like being teachers, what exactly is timing on a spark plug? on the dirtbike i just screwed the sumbitch in there.

Timing is usually measured in degrees from TDC (top dead center: the location of the crank "fully extended") on the #1 cylinder IIRC. A timing table of 0 would mean the plug fires right at TDC. Retarded timing means the plug fires after TDC and advanced means it fired before TDC.

Instead of going all the way back it flattens off and rounds into the quarter.
