Hi, i got a 95 mustang gt, and i had just purchased slp exhaust type 2 and i am pretty sure that one is legal to pass smog! Now i just got to know what headers that are legal and not so expensive? Same with the intake thanks. Hope to hear from you guys soon.

im pretty sure that headers/intake arent going to make a difference with being illegal or not.  the big thing is going to be cats on your midpipe.  cats are required in most states.  now, if you live in a state with strict emissions, im not sure how the headers and rest of the exhaust would play into it all, but i dont think you will have any issues.

For a CA. car, there are several shorty headers that are CARB legal. I have BBK equal length. You can replace your cats with high flow units too. from there back it your choice.

When I got mine smogged, the guy looked at my CAI and asked if it was CARB, I said yes, and he closed the hood. As for headers, any shorty that retains the bungs of the stock ones are legal as long as they arent LTs, where the move the cats = illegal
